The hotel Samba Vallarta, with hacienda-style architecture, mixed among palm trees and bougainvillea flowers, offers an oasis right on the Pacific Ocean. The hotel features 183 spacious and comfortable rooms and suites in a four-story hotel with garden, pool and ocean view.
Very outdated hotel, rooms are very old but clean. Had issues with the room door and card access. I had to go and get the key programmed 5 times in 7 day stay.
They provide 2 bottles of water everyday and if you need more you need to buy them in the gift shop or re-fill your used bottles in the bar.
Most of guests are locals, but you don't feel left out. Staff are very friendly specially Bernado and Carlos. Carlos will make sure your are taken care of in the buffet restaurent and also in the beach area with drinks. Food is very good and ever night there is a different theme.
Nightly entertainment is only available on every other day. Some days they have Bingo and Karaoke. All bars and restaurants closes at 10:30pm . If you need a late night drink or bite to eat, this is not the resort for you.
Pool bar does not have a dishwasher, bar attendants have to clean plastic cups in the sink and reuse them. It's not the best thing during a pandemic.

Salvador has amazing customer service. Always went out of his way to say hi and make sure we were satisfied even when not our server. If you go to this place ask for Salvador to server you. If in case he is not available ask for Carlos or Ivan. They are all great. My rating overall is average due to the three gentlemen that made our stay more comfortable not because of the hotel itself or other staff.
They made up for the hotel. The hotel on the other hand not too good. The price is cheap so I’m not so surprised. The walls are really thin, you can hear what the other rooms are doing/talking about. A safety concern is that the window open all the way on every floor so beware of curious kids near windows. Kids kept trying to open the connecting door when we notified front desk they sent a person to stand in front of their door when I issue was inside the room and just said “nothing out of the ordinary”. Front desk was rude at times, so we just did not bother with them. They went to the extent of while my family was eating breakfast demanded like yelled demanded for payment and took each one of there bracelet numbers, when they had already agreed that they will pay after eating. Keep in mind front desk had already initially said everything was included (it is an “all inclusive resort” after all but whatever we paid ….), And there is no air conditioning or cooler in their front desk only these little fans that is constantly pointed at the concierge, who usually isn’t at his desk. There is a trip agent (usually on their phone) on site but if you use them make sure you ask if there’s any additional fees. ( The agent didn’t say anything and when we got to the location of the boats that we booked with the agent they said it had additional fees for each person and we took a party of 4 luckily we didn’t take our original party of 15). Overall it was an okay experience but more than likely will not return.
