Our family enjoyed our March break here. The food was delicious, the beach was lovely - we could walk to the Malecon via the beach. All staff were great and the entertainment team was extraordinary. Shout out to Ale at the concierge desk and Sergio who got us playing beach volleyball and recommended salons for a hair cut. We can't wait to come back!

Hi spent a month at Sunscapes from February 18-March18/2026. I like the location of the resort it was easy to use the local buses getting around and walkable to restaurants, bars, Walmart, casino & stores. The staff was awesome they worked hard to keep the resort clean. The beach was nice. The entertainment staff were upbeat and fun with a variety of activities all day long. Shut out to Sergio, Christian, Linette & Jocelyn for there friendless and including us with activities. Enjoyed Zumba, pool activities, black jack, kayaking & bingo. Thank you Donna Blackwood

We weren't sure how much our daughter would use the Explorer's Club during our stay — but she ended up loving it so much that some days she'd choose the kids' club over the pool with us! Even when she'd only have an hour to spare, she wanted to be there. Diana, Nayeli, Georgina, Sandra, and Carmen were absolutely wonderful. You could tell immediately that they genuinely care about the kids in their care. Our daughter felt comfortable and happy every single time. The highlight of our whole trip? We happened to be dining at the same time the club brought the kids to dinner. Watching our little one marching in with her new friends, completely in her element — that's a memory we'll never forget. To the teachers: thank you for making her vacation just as magical as ours. You're the heart of this resort.

The pictures on the website are completely misleading. The room was terrible. I booked through Hyatt thinking that the property would be amazing. I was completely wrong. The bed was uncomfortable. The food was extremely basic even for all-inclusive standards. I ended up leaving after one night and apparently forfeited the rest of the stay with return. Please save your hard earned money or points.

Our family of 4 (kids aged 9 and 6), plus grandparents, just returned from a 10 day stay at Sunscape. Reading reviews leading up had me a bit nervous; however, I’m hoping this review will balance out the negatives, as we had a fabulous time. We were greeted with welcome drinks and excellent customer service, and this continued throughout the trip. Sure the hotel is a bit dated, however we saw the staff do many updates while we were there (nothing that impacted our enjoyment of the property while they were doing it). We had a huge room, with an ocean view. The room was cleaned beautifully daily. The food was delicious - options for everyone. And sitting sea-side in the world cafe watching the sunset, the nightly fireworks and enjoying a glass of wine, well… fabulous. The location is amazing. Having walked both directions many days, I can confirm the beach out front is by far the nicest. Flat and calm compared to just down the shoreline. The kids had a blast in the ocean and building sandcastles. The hotel is right beside a beautiful mall and there was a fair across the street that we went to twice - we had a blast! The pool was lovely and the kids had fun in the kids zone on the waterslides. Bonus was the mini golf out front! The staff at Sunscape were amazing. The property was clean and they were quick to respond to requests. Antelmo in the World Cafe went above and beyond during our stay, and we looked forward to seeing him daily. Special shout out to Mario and Sergio too, as well as all the entertainment staff. We also very much appreciated that there wasn't huge pressure to reserve chairs in the morning, compared to other resorts. There were always some available, well into the morning. All in all, we had a wonderful time and look forward to returning!
