We recently stayed at Sunscape Puerto Vallarta and had a pleasant experience overall. This is a good resort for the price, but it's important to set expectations appropriately. If you're accustomed to higher-end Hyatt brands, don't expect the same level of luxury, amenities, or service. The resort has beautiful views and a nice atmosphere, although the beach itself is just average compared to some other Puerto Vallarta resorts. The property is quite large with many rooms, so it can feel a bit crowded at times. That said, considering the price point, it offers good value for a family vacation. I would like to recognize Ricardo and Lupita at the front desk for their friendliness and helpfulness during check-in. They made the arrival process smooth and welcoming. The highlight of our stay was definitely the Italian restaurant. The food was excellent, and the service was truly outstanding. A special thank you to Dylan, who provided some of the best service we experienced during our trip. He was attentive, professional, and went above and beyond to ensure we had a great dining experience. Hyatt is fortunate to have team members like Dylan—he deserves recognition for his exceptional service. Overall, Sunscape Puerto Vallarta is a solid choice for travelers looking for a reasonably priced all-inclusive resort with great views and a few standout experiences, especially the Italian restaurant.

I don’t know how this hotel has good reviews. It has to be either people that have never traveled in their life or hotel employees. This hotel was absolutely disgusting, it is not a luxury hotel, half of the restaurants they promote are not open. The room was filthy falling apart, the AC didn’t work during our entire stay so they offered us a fan that blew dust particles all over the bed, there was construction on the elevator on the ninth floor, so weird hammering all day didn’t let us know about that, the shower turned off every 10 to 15 seconds, the patio door didn’t latch, which is a safety concern. This hotel is in no way luxury whatsoever. I was shocked that this was a Hyatt property. The photos look nothing like the current condition of the property. I promise you if you book this hotel, you will regret it. It’s terrible and I think the worst part about all of it is management does not care. If you were unhappy they will not try to problem solved with you. It’s like they are committed to not being helpful. The wait staff was very kind and the maid was lovely. That was the only nice thing I can say about the hotel everything else was truly terrible. Do yourself a favor and spend a little bit more money and go stay at dreams or secrets. I wouldn’t come back to this hotel if you paid me to, don’t believe me? Check out the photos I’ll post. DO NOT TRUST THIER PHOTOS!!!! I tried to leave the morning after arriving and they wouldn’t refund my points so I was stuck two more days! Ruined my trip! So awful!

Subpar experience for what we paid-- the facilities were rundown/dated, the music continued banging loudly into our room well into the night (ending at 11pm nightly), the food was nearly inedible and the pools were not clean with visibly gross green water. The only redeeming feature were the staff trying to remedy things, they bent over backwards to accommodate us where they could, but it was quite bad on the whole.

Sunscape was amazing. very family friendly. Sunscape has all the necessities to make sure everyone is having a good time. I read some reviews on this place before deciding where to stay in Puerto Vallarta, and let me tell you, Sunscape was definitely an amazing choice. It's budget friendly, family friendly, your kids will LOVE this place. I personally myself loved it as well. Everyone has different taste and expectations while on vacation, but Sunscape definitely is an amazing experience. My family and I will definitely be back here.

Food was always bad. Selection was minimal. Flavorless. Hotel is old outdated my rooms ac went out on day one fixed enough just to blow some cold air had to get a fan delivered to my room. Definitely will not come back to this resort. There was mold in my room. Roof was leaking water got into my luggage.
