Great Staff , lovely place
Dvdh1 (Toronto, Canada) on Feb 04, 2023
Meets the meaning of Boutique Small place where the staff are friendly and efficient and many try to know your name. Paul at the pool was beyond excellent Rooms are very comfortable , bed very comfortable. Great views. We loved the location but not for everyone. About 7 minute walk to start of Malecon and 35 minutes fro far end where better restaurants are. We loved being away from the noise of the Malecon and enjoy the walk but the distance isn,t for everyone. GrEat , casual restaurant 3 minutes down the beach is the very popular El Barracuda ( cash only, no reservations but worth it). DO NOT go the sales tour unless this is of serious interest they say it’s an hour and it’s about 2 1/4.
Beautiful hotel with impeccable service

This place is beautiful. My wife and I got back yesterday after a 5 day stay. We chose it because we wanted a small resort within walking distance to town, which still had the all-inclusive choice. The rooms are decent. Nothing spectacular but is a typical room in a resort. You want a room near the pools and not on the right side if you are looking towards the ocean. There is a vacant lot to the right and is run down and an eye sore. We were first given a room here and quickly asked to move. They had no problem with our request. Every room does face the ocean, which is great with beautiful sunsets. Also don't stay on the 4th floor. The 3rd floor is the rooms with outdoor Jacuzzis, and they have an awning over it, so you see this on the 4th floor from the balcony. Not the best. Try to request the 5th or 6th floor. The pool is on the smaller side, which we knew. There is always seating since it's a small place and you don't have to rush down in the morning like other bigger resorts. We sat on the beach most of the time, and we never had an issue getting spots. The 2nd pool is where the bar is. It's small but a good spot to hang out with a few people and relax. The temperature was cool our first day but then got better the rest. The only negative thing is I would have to say it's the beach cabanas roofs block your view of the ocean from the bar pool. We did not like that part. You would have to look in between them out and hang out by the bar to look at the ocean. We personally like sitting in the pool and overlooking the ocean. Some may like privacy more from the roofs. We did the all-inclusive. They do not cheap out on the alcohol and the food is by far the best we've had at any resort in Mexico. Each dinner was like going into town and overlooking the ocean while you ate since one of the restaurants is near the beach. Everything is mostly included with the package. However, bottles of wine aren't. You can get as many glasses you want, but don't order a bottle. You will be charged for it. Not cheap! The bar in the restaurant was great with high-end liquor. Nothing fake or diluted down. The service is impeccable! Everyone and I mean everyone is spectacular here. Whether the pool bartender, the service help from your seats or the restaurants, everyone is great here. You get a wristband with a code that they scan when you order. At first, we thought this was odd. Why would we have to do this work the all inclusive but it made it so easy to tip. No, carry cash around and hoping you have small bills to tip people you wander to tip. We loved the wristband. The location was great. We were just on the north end of town but still could walk downtown with 10 minutes. Whether that was on the street or on the beach. We did both. If you need a ride somewhere and you can wait 5 extra minutes, use Uber. A fraction of the cost compared to the taxis. Same with the airport. Take an Uber. Way faster and cheaper. I think we paid $12, and that's with a tip. It's about a 20-minute drive. The only thing is Uber won't pick you up directly at the airport. Something to do with taxi union. When you exit the airport, walk past everyone trying to get you a ride. Walk to the end of the building and take the pedestrian bridge across the street. The Ubers pick you up right there. It's super simple and super safe. Tip.......If you're looking for something different to do, we suggest the bikes and bites tour. You ride bikes around multiple different neighborhoods with a tour guide and hit local corner Taco stands that the tourists don't know about and are the best around. Also, hike up the hill to the cross on the hill. You walk through the locals neighborhood and bike to the top of a mountain with a beautiful lookout point. Something very different. Go for a sunset here. They have a store at the top with drinks. Perfect spot!
