Wanted to love, but was very disappointed

I NEVER write reviews, but felt the need to do so after this experience. Want to start with some of the great things: the room was HUGE, extremely clean, and had a great balcony view. The staff by the pool was great - shoutout to Coca Cola! Also, the resort as a whole was beautiful. However, other than this, everything else fell short. To start, our room was not ready upon arrival. While we waited for the room, we figured we would walk around and check the place out. We were approached by the concierge, who gave us the impression he was going to give us a tour, tell us about the restaurants and activities, etc. Instead, he quickly brought us to his office to try to convince us to go to a 1 hour long seminar in hopes of trying to sell us something (seemed to be another vacation in the future?), in exchange for a free floating taco boat. We explained that we were not interested, yet, he approached us several more times during the trip, and even tried to convince us to attend the seminar by guilt tripping us by saying that he needed to "get points" by having us go to the seminar. Just thought it was weird, considering we had just arrived, and the fact that he was extremely pushy about it. Additionally, the food at most restaurants was not as good as expected. Breakfast at the Boathouse, dinner at JWB, and dinner at Land Shark were the best meals we had. However, the others were edible, but not great. Then, one of the days, we tried ordering hamburgers from Cheeseburger in Paradise. After waiting for 30 minutes, we decided to go up to the counter to make sure our order was put in. We were told it would be another 5 minutes, so, we sat back down. Come to find out, they had simply run out of hamburgers that whole time. We did not appreciate being lied to and wasting our time waiting for food that wasn't going to come out. In terms of the environment, it was pretty dead, and other guests that we made friends with agreed that it was not as lively as they expected either. Lastly, we had left our room at 10:00 am, and made sure to press the button to let them know our room was ready to be cleaned. When we came back to the room at 5:00 pm, it still was not cleaned. This was fine, but we just needed new towels, so we called the front desk, to which we were told it was going to take awhile because "employees were not in that area". We would have gone to the pool to grab some towels ourselves, but there were rarely any towels available down there either, so we were stuck, unable to shower and get ready for dinner and the rest of the night. Overall, I had extremely high hopes for this resort, but was very disappointed. At the end of the day, it's Punta Cana and was fun and beautiful and we had an overall good time, but I would not recommend to anyone.

Great hotel and the daytime entertainment was great especially Willy who was so full of energy and a great guy, , Food options was good but not the best for a 5 star hotel , Beach was not great A little disorganised In The front desk area but overall a great holiday ,
