Excellent! 5 Stars. My wife and I just returned from an incredible week at Secrets Royal Beach Punta Cana, where we were treated like royalty by the exceptional staff. Everyone we encountered was friendly, courteous, and always willing to help. A special thanks to Flor ((from the entertainment team who gave us merengue and aerobics classes, so much fun!), Felix (butler), and the staff at Rivera restaurant: Lucas, Gabriel, Esterling, Lucia, Alicia, Luz, Junior, Juan Jose, and many more. Elkin from the Olio restaurant, along with Dennise and Nery (coffee), and Altagracia (pool) also deserve a mention for their fantastic service. The food was outstanding, offering a wide selection of meats, vegetables, fruits, seeds, and more. We stayed in a junior suite with a semi-covered patio and jacuzzi, which added to the relaxing experience. The entire hotel was spotless, and the pools were regularly tested and cleaned. The beach features wide stretches of yellow sand, and the shallow, green ocean is perfect for safe swimming and relaxing. Good! 4 Stars. The room's privacy could be improved due to the dual connecting doors between rooms. We could hear the guest talking next door, their music, tv, etc., so it would be great if the hotel could enhance the soundproofing or install a system to improve privacy. When the hotel isn’t at full capacity, it might be worth reconsidering placing guests in other rooms—just a suggestion for the management team. Our arrival was slower than expected because the current operator, Nexus, didn’t meet expectations. In the past, hotels provided airport pick-up, which offered a better overall experience. Average! 3 Stars. Punta Cana airport has not kept up with the growing number of tourists, making the departure process chaotic (potentially unsafe) and delayed. Be prepared for some frustration during departure.
