Wish there was more things for the kids to do. Wait time for check in was about 2 hours. No sugar in the sweetery room! It did not feel like Nickelodeon.

Below Expectations for a Nick Resort

rener260 (Page, Arizona) on May 07, 2026

If you’re looking for a true Nickelodeon experience, this may not be the resort for you. Unfortunately, several aspects of our stay fell below expectations. It honestly made us wonder whether any Nickelodeon executives have stayed here, as they might think twice about allowing their name and brand to be associated with this property. Below is a summary of our experience: 1. Food: The food was below average it is what you might expect from a low-priced all-inclusive resort. This was especially disappointing given that it is a Nickelodeon hotel. We’ve previously stayed at the Nickelodeon Riviera Maya resort and sailed on the Nickelodeon cruise, where the food was noticeably above average. 2. Service: This was our biggest disappointment. If you did not tip servers before being served, they often ignored you or seemed inconvenienced when asked for anything. While we did tip servers after our meals, this is a concerning culture that management should seriously address. 3. Electricity / Elevators: The electricity in our room was shut off throughout the day and frequently at night. If you wake up during the night to use the restroom, make sure to have your phone flashlight handy, this happened every night during our stay. I assume this is done to conserve energy. The same appeared to apply to the elevators, which were often not working. I had to carry a stroller and beach bags up the stairs every single day. 4. Characters: The Nickelodeon characters were rarely out. Unless you pay extra for character breakfasts or slime packages, the only apparent way to see them is by attending the timeshare presentation. We did not attend, but other guests shared that it can take over five hours due to multiple sales pitches. Overall, having previously visited the Nickelodeon property in Mexico and experienced the Nickelodeon cruise, we were truly disappointed with this stay. This review is not meant as a complaint, but rather as feedback in hopes that someone takes the time to read it and improve the quality of service. We could have accepted below-average food if the service had been great but when both the food and service were lacking, it significantly impacted the overall experience.
