Carlos Lopez at the Lobby bar was so friendly and made great drinks! We hope to see him again next year when we are back at Barcelo. We also had great dinners at the Adults Only restaurants. Agave and La Comedie were our favorites. Felipe Solis and David took care of us at Agave and were also very friendly, informative and provided great service! I wish I remembered the names of the two gentlemen that took care of us at La Comedie on our final night 4/17 because they were incredible too. Everything was amazing! We are so happy with our visit to Barcelo.

This resort property is immaculate - I never saw as much as a discarded wad of gum on the ground. Service is next level in every department. Beach is expansive. Resort is walkable with lots to see: big lizards, little lizards, deer, monkeys, birds. Our basic room faced a quiet, lush patch of jungle just steps from the beach. It had more than enough room for us to lounge on the sofas or out on our deck. Even the bathroom was generously proportioned. Bed linens are crisp and modern. I suspect their staff motto may be, “How can we ensure nobody has a bad day” because that is the vibe I got from all staff, whether they were groundskeepers, housekeepers, or towel staff. Everyone was showing excellence. I was beyond impressed.

Beautiful resort! We would definitely go back, just improve on the signage, booking restaurants and better check-in.

A very enjoyable week. Resort checks off all boxes and the facilities are very good. Access to other resorts on the beach makes the experience more fun.
