This is our fifth time returning to Barcelo Maya, and the resort never fails to deliver an incredible vacation. What made this particular trip absolutely exceptional was reuniting with Lydia Ramirez , our amazing pool waitress. She took such fantastic care of us during our visits over the last two years, and we were absolutely thrilled to find her working by the pool again this time. Having her familiar face, warm hospitality, and top-tier service around made our entire experience so much better. Her dedication and attentiveness are exactly why we love this property so much. Thank you, Lydia, and thank you, Barcelo Maya, for another memorable stay! We are already looking forward to our next visit.

I love how super clean entire hotel/resort is. Rooms are big, bathrooms are big and beautiful. My kids loved the kids water park area. Staffs are very friendly. We enjoyed the beach, entertainment area. The only suggestion is to add dehumidifier in rooms. It took 2+days to dry clothes whether outside or inside. Humid inside the room makes bedsheets feeling wet and our clothes in the luggage and hanging in the closet humid . Adding different cuisines to the menu would be great.

The resort is a very beautiful place with some beautiful people that works there. I say some because not all the workers were helpful and had correct info to give to you.

As soon as I arrived I was impressed with the size of the location just not the construction going around the family pool. The hotel lobby bar was awesome and very cool I enjoyed watching Real Madrid win 4-0. I also loved Alexa’s service at the front desk and Jorge’s service at the Adult only Pool.

If you stay at Barcelo Maya Palace, the rooms are huge and clean with lots of storage space and nice bathroom with big shower. Mini bar is refilled daily. You can access the four middle resorts and the mall as well if you stay at the palace which means you have a lot of options for a la carte restaurants. At the palace, you can chose an a la carte every night you're there. The Rodizio, Brasserie and Caribe restaurants are all wonderful if you choose to just eat at the palace restaurant although you can choose the other restaurants as well. If you like meat, the Rodizio has a huge ribeye. The beach is very good but rocky in a few places so you may want water shoes. You will see fish in the water beside you. If you are at the palace beach and go from the lifeguard stand straight out into the ocean about 50 metres, you will likely have a sea turtle come and swim right by you at some point. I've been here twice (for 7 days or more) and usually go to the beach daily and saw turtles everytime in that area even just standing in the water without having to snorkel.
