Beautiful properties

Collection of properties amazing with many opportunities. Disappointed several restaurants closed but ones we went to were fantastic. Missed beach & ocean due to sargassum. Some attempt to clean & realize it’s almost impossible.
Amazing stay yet again at Barcelo Palace

The food quality, 5 star dining, drinks are phenomenal, staff outstanding. Room is perfect. 10/10. Attention to detail in rooms, restaurants grounds, is simply amazing. Appearance of the property is top notch up scaled and very artistic. The staff are the reason we have visited 3 times already. The ability to visit the other properties was so much fun. The beautiful shuttle buses and drivers were excellent. I cannot think of any areas that could be improved. Grade of A+. 10 out of 10. Grand slam home run. Simply the best.
Transport company denied refund after admitting their own error — read before booking

The resort grounds and most staff were pleasant, but everything else here is a serious warning, and I am writing under my real name because all of this is factual. Vacaciones Barceló, the transport desk operating inside the resort, failed us twice: on arrival, our private pre-paid driver did not have our name and we lost significant time at the airport just getting matched to our own booked ride, and on departure, we changed our pickup time in person at their desk more than 24 hours in advance and signed a confirmation form, yet the driver still showed up at the original wrong time, leaving us to pay for our own taxi to the airport. When we requested a refund, Vacaciones Barceló admitted in writing that their staff did not follow proper procedure, then denied the refund anyway because we had no voucher, the exact document their own staff failed to issue, and a bellboy told us this happens often, meaning this is a pattern, not a mistake. We escalated to Barceló Hotel Group corporate directly and filed a credit card dispute, and as of this review neither Barceló Hotel Group nor Vacaciones Barceló has resolved this. On top of this, advertised dolphin activity was closed our entire stay, kids' club rules were misrepresented (told under-2 allowed with a parent present, then denied on site), and different staff gave contradicting answers about the same programs. Staff also actively solicited 5-star reviews immediately after small gestures like a face painting for our toddler, which explains the inflated overall rating, so read the detailed reviews, not just the stars.

Please bring back the WIFI for the TVs in the room. Should a guest want a break from the sun or need a day of rest it was nice to be able to stream previously. The headboard in 8524 needs to be attached better as if made a lot of noise in simply rolling over. Understanding that it's very difficult to keep up with sargassum, if there's away to remove whats decomposing to cut back on the sulfer smell would have brought this to a very good rating. The odor actually made it difficult to breathe and made me feel very nauseated. The sales call at 0930 to "buy into premier access, but not a timeshare" was too early and should've been presented in person either at check in/check

We had a great experience at the hotel. I have traveled there 3 times, but this time no coconuts. We were told that the maintenance crew was given them away to the hotel guests, and they are not allowed to do it anymore. Dont Like that.
