Very disappointing

VERY disappointing. VERY expensive for what you get. Property dated and very worn in places. Only 2 redeeming features are Beach and gym. NOT 5 star on any level. Small few examples: Tropical island hotel that serves dilute/orange squash for breakfast not fresh orange juice, sink in spa bathroom, taps loose and no water, other sink overflowing, fed back to staff 3 times zero action. Silly things, no mint for mojitos, no french fries even though advertised, poor lunch selection at grill, limited selection is ‘included’ wines none of which hitting the spot, generally sloppy, half hearted offering. Even webroom…we were told to prebook ‘included’ treatments, got so stressed as it wouldn’t work, reached out to staff which still didn’t sort issue and I see other travellers same issue. Also website has a 2022 sample itinerary on it with references to Covid, how sloppy is that. We took 2 flights to get here and paid an eye watering amount of €€€. Kicking myself I didn’t look at trip advisor reviews. I did look at booking.com which mysteriously gave hotel 10/10…. One would have to think that rating was bought. Also be aware that although St Lucia is lovely and green it seems to be overcast and showery a lot of the time.

The holiday itself was absolutely beautiful—there’s no complaint there. This has been a favorite destination for my family for years. Unfortunately, this time, after my departure, unexpected charges appeared on my account. When I reached out to customer service, I received no assistance. I've been trying to resolve this issue for over a month now, yet there’s been no explanation or solution. Instead, the reception staff vaguely "assume" that the charges were for trips and fail to provide invoices. The customer service is shockingly poor and completely unhelpful, which tarnishes the reputation of this otherwise wonderful establishment. It’s such a shame. Despite it being a long-time favorite of ours, I can’t see myself returning after this experience.
