Mini Vacation at Stolentime!

I had one of the most horrible vacations at Stolentime. We were greeted by a short red-skinned concierge agent and a bellman (Sean) very pleasant and jovial young man. We were provided with a very refreshing welcome drink. Marie provided us with a tour of the resort but she did not sound too confident with the information provided. When we arrived in the room, the room had a scent of sewage which we did mention to Marie, her response was "I'll speak to the manager about it and she will reach out". We then started experiencing issues with our AC, i went down to the concierge office and spoke with SUSANA this manager is horrible, nothing about this woman is pleasant she spoke in sarcasm and tried making me look like a fool. The next morning I went back down to the concierge office to inform them that the AC still was not cooling to my satisfaction. with no empathy, this manager just picked up the phone and started yelling at the individual on the other line. She seemed very annoyed and aggravated my wife felt very uncomfortable so she stepped outside while I waited for assistance. We felt very unwelcome by SUSANA on many occasions. I also had "one" observation those concierge agents don't look happy at all, with the treatment we received from her I can't imagine what they are enduring. The AC issue was never fixed with the AC or the sewage scent and everytime we passed by its like this lady lives on the resort, she's always there. we never got a cahnce to speak to someone else. Please train your staff especially SUSANA to be more pleasant. We paid lots of monies to come on tis trip aand we were treated like crap. We ate at Malabar the food was really good and the restaurant staff were pleasant. All in all our trip was 3/10 thanks to SUSANA!

We did a lot of resesrch before booking this resort; we considered other hotels on st Lucia and also Antigua. We had a few concerns about the hotel being near the airport. However,Our experience was excellent. The staff are really lovely. A particular shout out to Jaye and Matt who taught us to sail, Chelsea who served afternoon tea, Tasha ( nice), and the waiting staff in all 3 restaurants, and champagne bar. As with any hotel, if you are picky, there could be a few minor issues ( other reviews mention near graveyard, and slightly tired, public beach.....as is all of st lucia, and near airport....occasional small plane), but you have to be looking for faults to find these. Food is of a very good standard. Would definitely recommend and come back. Only advice to hotel is to stop people reserving sun loungers and not sitting on them
