Bungalow review

Mikemegan2024 (Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania) on May 18, 2024

First off if your on the fence about the bungalow it was worth every penny. The butler service was next level. People always say all inclusive resorts the food is not that good but at sandals it was amazing. If you ever go to this resort and get butler service request the triple K team they are the best in the business. They didn’t miss a single detail, surprised us every day. Also if you’re looking for food recommendations our evening butler Karen was the best she always recommended things on the menu and they were great. She was so good our last night she brought a full course dinner to us over the water at our bungalow. We told her for her to pick the food and she nailed it. You would have thought she has known us for years. Best in the business 1000%

Sandals Vacation

lindsaymk887 (Spring, Texas) on May 18, 2024

We had such an amazing time at Sandal’s Grande St. Lucian. We were celebrating our anniversary, and the staff truly made the week relaxing and memorable. We loved all of the restaurants, and the staff was so good about food allergies. The rooms were very nice and clean as well. We went to the spa twice and thoroughly enjoyed the amenities as well as our massages, Kori and Madonna were amazing! The diving was absolutely fabulous in St. Lucia. There were many dive sites and the resort dive masters made sure everyone had a great experience. Every night we truly enjoyed the evening entertainment. Jesse was unreal, and we loved the piano bar night. We also had the best evening at the silent disco! Thank you, Sandals, for such a wonderful vacation!

Perfect wedding and honeymoon

mark j (Shrewsbury, United Kingdom) on May 17, 2024

We got married here on Star Wars day, just the two of us and it was perfect. The hotel has just 270 rooms (I think) so this huge site has, when full, has around 540 guests, meaning that it never feels busy. Great pool and beach options, excellent restaurants, 3 of which require booking and have a dress code that generally isn't enforced! Our favourite was Barefoot by the Sea which had a wonderfully casual vibe but a faultless, superb quality menu. The teriyaki glazed tuna was exquisite and enormous. Our favourite breakfast was at Toscanini's where we enjoyed the waited service albeit with a very flexible menu. The buffet breakfast in Bayside was extensive and great quality but never felt, for us at least, as leisurely We didn't have a meal that wasn't excellent nor did we come across any staff in any capacity who weren't smiley, genuinely happy and always willing to help. Our only minor gripe would be the resort allowing people to reserve sunbeds from early in the morning, putting towels on them like Benidorm in 1985. Other top chains like Barcelo have stopped this practise some time ago. Particularly annoying when guests can't be bothered to put used towels in the bins provided when they leave so the sunbeds don't get used when they can be. Guests were generally considerate and friendly, aside of a very small minority of Americans who were rude, entitled and could only function at volume 11, whether it be 9 in the morning or in the corridor outside bedrooms after midnight. Mildly irritating but didn't detract from our stay. To the wedding team; I'll be honest, I was a little concerned that, especially on a Saturday, where there could be 5 or more weddings hosted between 10am and 5pm across the resort, it might feel a bit like a conveyor belt. It really didn't and really couldn't have been bettered. We met with Fernander on our first morning and the wedding planner experience was faultless from start to finish, meticulously planned with a jointly agreed itinerary, so we just had to turn up when required. Everything was sorted, no stress, no worries. Due to an event taking place on the beach quite close to our wedding gazebo and having the potential for noise, we were offered a beautiful upgraded gazebo in the gardens but still close to the beach. We were delighted to accept this. Gem, who officiated , was an absolute joy and made the whole thing feel incredibly special. Canapés, champagne and a two tier cake followed. Our dedicated photographer, Nicholas, was there throughout and was invaluable in capturing our wedding, particularly as we had chosen to travel on our own. Before, during and after, he fired off about 170 photographs which we got down to a final 40 at a private viewing later in the week. Nature did it's bit and delivered one of just 3 amazing sunsets during our 10 night stay, for our wedding pictures. Nick knows his stuff, particularly around lighting, and the photos are magnificent. After a short break we had a romantic dinner for just the two of us, back in the same gazebo where we'd been married 4 hours earlier, with a lovely dedicated waitress for the evening. Superb food and plentiful champagne. Back at our room, more champagne, gifts and rose petals had been left for us, which was lovely. Honeymoon breakfast in bed the following morning was included and much appreciated after the whirlwind haze of our wedding day. Faultless from start to finish and couldn't have asked for a better experience. Our wedding and 10 night stay were very special and provided great memories. Special mention for Big K, who's speed boat tour of the Pitons, world class snorkelling, waterfall and mud baths, fuelled by as much alcohol as you wanted, was a terrific 5 hour excursion and well worth the cost.

Outdated/Lack of maintenance

velaslovebirds on May 16, 2024

We flew almost 2 days and paid too much money to find the "property" 3 star in lack of condition and attention to detail . Swim out room patio was in poor condition to enjoy with water bottles, cigar/cigarette butts in the shrub /tree area and poor maintenance and the grounds area too. * Beds are old , hard, outdated- needs renovations and new pillow top luxury like bedding. 1st floor is like a freight train all day with carts going by your room, hard to get any rest. i asked Mngt for them to stop at night with the noise- Pools were very soiled, stained and need much repair with grout & tile issues etc.. Seems Sandals owners aren't concerned about updating and comfort for their guests, close down "a" pool and get it up to standards, with out worrying about the loss of Revenue ! Pictures dont do justice- Best to Tube and see what people actually film so you know what you are and are not getting before your Trip. Do appreciate Mr. Eka, Ms. Sheudy listing to our concerns . Chief were a 5 Star* Lovely made to order food and even the fries where hot!- Most staff , Sharlene,, Delia, Higina, servers were very sincere and caring attitude. Theresa room maid was so kind, Cassie club level was nice and helpful- Better attention to cleanliness and maintaining around the resort would be a plus. Younger of the employees spend too much time standing around with frowns on their faces and not taking care of their guests. Unpleasant visit to the Crepe shop as the heavy set lady was always rude, not personable and waited in back taking her time to even want to serve you- Attitudes weren't appreciated and Management needs more training with these employees. Entrainment was lifeless ,needs more work and pizzaz. For a Sandals resort the cabana's were run down, dirty! All that I have mentioned I have taken photos of and will be shared where needed-- All travelers need to know the Pros & Cons before hand before booking a pricey, long flight vacation.

World class diving and water sports

Andrew_f_NH (New Hampshire) on May 15, 2024

Evans from the dive shop made our trip absolutely incredibly with amazing instruction and kindness. Derek drove the water ski boat all week long for me and went out of his way to make each run better than the last!
