A Grand Time at Sandals Grande St. Lucian

Just got back from 7 incredible nights at Sandals Grande St. Lucian. The Dive team was great. Thanks to Denelle and Brandon for captaining the ship. Pam aka Peaches taught me to hunt lion fish and we were able to land a good feast. Marcus and Martin were also great to visit and dive with. The Poolside bartenders Matthew and Remy were very prompt and made special drinks upon request. The food was excellent as always and everyone was friendly and helpful. We took a trip to the mudbaths, climbed "Stairway to Heaven" to see the Pitons, toured the rum factory and went shopping. Also visited the La Toc resort for a change of pace. PIgeon Island hike just next door was another option that was enjoyable to see more of the island from a different view. This resort is in our top one or two and we have visited 10 Sandals/Beaches resorts.

My husband and I chose Sandals Grande St. Lucian for our 5th anniversary celebration, expecting a luxurious, couple-focused experience. Unfortunately, our stay was plagued by issues that ruined our vacation. Upon arrival, we discovered a significant ant infestation in our room. Despite multiple reports and requests for assistance, the problem was not adequately addressed. We were moved several times, only to encounter more ants in each new room. In addition to the ant issue, we experienced other inconveniences, such as a broken elevator, closed restaurants with no signage, and missing amenities in our rooms. While some staff members were helpful and friendly, the overall experience was extremely disappointing. We had high hopes for our anniversary getaway, but Sandals Grande St. Lucian fell far short of our expectations. We would not recommend this resort to others.
Wedding disaster

I am sad to report that my husband and I got married at sandals grand St. Lucia on May 9th and we’re very disappointed in the outcome. There were so many things that went wrong starting from the wedding planner who called us three times before our trip who was very cold. Basic accommodations were not met such as fresh towels, water in our fridge, or refills on shampoo and conditioner, despite calling 1-4 times per day to request these items. There was also two separate times where I called to speak to someone about a concern and was blatantly hung up on. There were certain things that were included on our wedding package that were not automatically withdrawn from our bill which caused us to climb several mountains to get taken care of. Another frustrating example was when I was in a specific room the morning of my wedding to get ready with my bridesmaids, and the room was not properly cleaned from the previous people who were in the room (there were left over balloons, trash, and old uncorked champagne), the bar was not stocked with water or anything to drink, and the air conditioning was not on. Therefore, I was sweating while trying to get ready and get into my wedding dress which was difficult with applying make up and do my hair. Our room included room service, where you requested your food to be delivered at a certain time. Several times our food was delivered one hour late and without all of the ingredients that were ordered. One time this caused us to have to call the spa to move our couples massage back because our breakfast had not arrived yet and we wanted to get some food in our stomach first. The spa would not allow us to move back our appointments, despite the resort being the issue with not having our breakfast delivered on time. When my husband and I had our massage, he had a bruise on his knee, and therefore they did not massage that entire leg at all which he was disappointed in. There are probably at least six other examples that I can give, but think the above is enough to shed light on our experience at this time. This was very disappointing to us because we had previously been to other sandals resorts and have had previous family members get married at a sandals resorts and were expecting a much different result. You only get married once and I was very disappointed in choosing to get married at sandals after the experience that I had.
A vacation of a lifetime- one we will never forget!

This was our first time choosing a Sandals vacation. Our wonderful experience began with the welcome arrival. The staff made us feel welcome from the beginning starting with Anna Maria who is one of the managers. She checked on us daily, helped with anything we needed and made us feel like old friends. The entertainment daily and nightly was wonderful. We met Nevil and Cassius on our first day and every day they made sure we had everything we needed. Denison made delicious rum drinks for us to enjoy daily poolside. The food at the various restaurants was delicious and the staff and servers were wonderful- especially Mr. Ted -restaurant supervisor and Jessie who was one of the breakfast chefs. The entire staff at the resort was friendly, polite and eager to help in anyway possible. The resort was well maintained and the views were gorgeous. Everyone made us feel so welcome we got to know them by name; and they also remembered our name’s. By the time we left we felt like family. We look forward to returning!

The resort was an excellent facility. The grounds are well maintained and the food was wonderful. Will go back
