Following American Hotel & Lodging Association's (AHLA) recent announcement of its "Safe Stay Guest Checklist"—and following medical expert guidance to help reduce the spread of COVID-19—all Hyatt hotels in the U.S. and Canada will require face coverings within indoor public areas beginning Monday, July 27, for the foreseeable future.
Public areas may include hotel lobbies, meetings and events spaces, restaurants and bars, and fitness centers. Some guests may be exempt from this mandate, including but not limited to guests with medical conditions, guests consuming food or beverages in restaurants, and children under the age of 2.

1) This hotel does NOT have a hot tub 2) The pool near the cabanas is heated. The pool near the hotel is NOT 3) They apparently have a practice of spraying some sort of gardenia scent in the rooms. Not the lobby... but all of the rooms! - The first room I checked into was absolutely reeking of it. I started sneezing within a few minutes. It was intolerable. NOTE: The windows DO NOT open in this hotel - They offered to bring some sort of machine in to get rid of the smell if I would leave for an hour... but in this day and age, considering allergies etc., how about not spraying a scent to begin with? - The second room I checked into was tolerable but not enjoyable or worth the price by any means. I spent the money as a splurge... would have left if it hadn't been so late 3) No automatic doors which can make it difficult with luggage. Bellman concept is nice only if the Bellman is there 4) No one was available at the Kayak stand to rent one/go on an excursion (11am the next day) They do not ask how your stay was or provide comment cards. They honestly don't care. If this is typical for Hyatts in the US, I'm done with them. On the plus side, the food was excellent.

Awesome food, staff, room and service unparalleled. The staff are the very definition of hospitality, the cleanliness and attention to details in service were exceptional. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling in Tampa!
