Writing a real review of Sunset Vista…
I had apprehensions arriving after reading some of the reviews that the rooms where dirty, I actually stopped and bought Clorox wipes, which was not necessary.
We checked in and we were greeted with a smile and all our questions were answered. We came to our room and it was fabulous, no need for the Clorox wipes, even the floors were clean which is a hard feat at the beach when sand is everywhere. I checked the sheets and the beds, no bugs…clean as could be.
The pool area is what I would expect for a hotel this size, it is not as small as I feared after reading some reviews.
The Tiki Bar closed at 11 during the week so I can’t speak to it being loud all night on the weekends but I can tell you I slept with out slider open and wasn’t disturbed by noise.
Overall…it’s great and I will come back…I had a lot of anxiety for no reason at all!!
Misrepresentation of Property - Dirty and Overcrowded
Jul 29, 2021
We called several times before arriving and asked how bad Red Tide was and if there were any dead fish and were told No, including the day we arrived. Both my daughter and I have asthma and we now have a respiratory infection and had to be on a nebulizer the whole time we were there. There were hundreds of dead fish on the beach so it smelled awful and because no one was going in the ocean, the pool was severely overcrowded with people coughing everywhere and on top of each other which was completely unsafe during this pandemic so we could not enjoy the pool. They also have Pool bathrooms through the parking garage on the SECOND Floor so lets just say besides the pool being packed, it was also quite dirty. The room had a broken chair, backed up drain, smelled like rotten eggs the whole time and we had to ask for someone to fix this both days. We also had 3 cockroaches in the master bathroom and the shower was so old there was rust and mildew in it. This was such a misrepresentation of the property.
