It could have been different

Eva B on May 10, 2024

In Feb 24 I booked a Gulf Front Suite for May 24, directly on the website. When we arrived, we received a Gulf View Suite but for the same price. My complaints only led to me going to the front desk 3 times to speak with 3 different people. They couldn’t do anything. The 3rd person finally offered to reduce the rate (actually only to the price of a Gulf view suite). They only said it was a mistake of their booking system and they don’t have Gulf Front Suites available. This is extremely disappointing, and on short notice we of course did not get any Gulf Front Suites elsewhere. The Suite itself is not very clean. When it’s windy outside, you can hear and feel the wind blowing through from the balcony to the entrance. The shower curtain has mold stains and in the bathroom were dark hair everywhere. The room service that obviously is included once a week came after 4 days, but did not change the linen or do the bed. The sand from many months still is underneath the living room table and I don’t want to know when the vacuumed the carpets the last time. I tried to clean as much as I could myself, since we have a 3 year old with us. The pools are nice. The big pool is too hot tough as the two hot tubs are. Tried to find the email address auf the GM, but was not successful. I normally don’t complain in public but this time I‘m very disappointed.

Horrible condo

pat0904 (Waukesha, Wisconsin) on May 08, 2024

Very deceiving pictures, take a look at the real pictures. We had 2 two bedroom condos. Condo 1 dirty bathtub, dish towel/dish cloth was dirty and had holes in it The dining room light was hanging down to almost reach the table, hanging by a thread, when we asked them to fix it they said no can wait until we leave. My son in law who was staying in condo 2 is a master electrician and said it was very dangerous to have it hanging like that. Our amenities, a 3 inch bottle of dish soap, salt and pepper was maybe half in tall Laundry soap enough for 1 load of laundry. Condo 2 my daughter went down to the front desk to ask for a clean blanket because the she had was all stained and soiled, they told her no. Went to the bar and ask for a plastic cup for a child to play with and they told me I could not have one without buying a drink Got sick on the burger from the cafe Pool was good and the beach was awesome Please make sure you see the traveler pictures before you go there Will never stay there or recommend this place to anyone

Disapointed

nancyandbill k (Lake George, New York) on May 02, 2024

Great location and very helpful friendly people at checkin. Otherwise very dirtyt amd dated. Elevators were broken and only 0ne was working and that was by the garbage shoot. Broken outlet in hallway, wrappers on hallway floor never picked up in 3 days. Bathroom had hair and mold in shower and towel rack fell of wall. Coffee table and side tables had rings from glasses which we easily wiped up. Place should shut down and have a thorough cleaning and overhaul

Disappointing

jkmartin311 (Portland, Maine) on Apr 22, 2024

This unfortunately was not a great stay. We liked the beach and the little cafe and beach bar are great. The room experience was rough. The first night, fire alarms went off twice at 2am. No one could get back to sleep and still not sure what happened. No fire trucks showed up and no communication to guests on what happened. The next day our smoke alarm started to chirp in our suite. I called front desk and they called back and said it had stopped. It continued to chirp later that night. This typically means it’s need a new 9volt or needs replacement. The drain in master bathroom was broken and wouldn’t drain. The trash can in kitchen is tiny, size of a small bathroom waste can and no extra trash bags. Lastly, the pools are not monitored for “guests only” or keycard access. We watched two large families park, use pool and tables and leave later in the day. I don’t like blowing up places on a review but at $400 night it could have been better.

Beautiful view of Treasure Island beach!

Passenger828479 on Mar 25, 2024

We stayed a week in March 2024 in unit 305W. It had a really great view of the beach. The room was furnished nicely with a huge pull out couch that we found comfortable. You could tell this owner took pride in the unit with newer furniture. Like others have said there are inconsistencies in service. We didn't know you could get toilet paper, paper towels or towels at the front desk until a few days in. I emailed them after we left and they said there was note there in the unit with directions but there was not. The pool area was really nice and they could use more chairs but we found people left at lunch so we got chairs for a few hours then. Family liked the ping pong tables and volleyball nets. Everyone gets their own parking spot. The biggest issue was the party atmosphere at the bar and boardwalk. You pay way more for a unit with a full gulf front view but the bar under the balcony is open until 1am. They do shut it down earlier if not busy. It was spring break though and tons of college kids gathering at the boardwalk at midnight. I emailed management after and they have a plan for quiet hours and the bartenders not using the tip bell after a certain time. Maybe more security can be added at night? We had a great time but not sure I would get a front unit again during March.
