I was a guest at the Fairmont Whistler for a conference in June. What a beautiful setting for the event. The hotel did a very good job with conference services, truly top notch. The restaurants and bar on site provided an excellent selection of food and drink. The location at the base of the Blackcomb Mountain provides many excursions options even in the summer!. Many trails to hike and trips up to the top of the ski hill on the gondola. That and the Peak to Peak Gondola over to Whistler Mountain provide spectacular vistas of the valley and villages below. The Fairmont Whistler is the perfect place from which to navigate your adventure.
A luxuriuous hotel with a warm, family run feel
(Washington DC, District of Columbia)

Thr Fairmont Chateau Whistler even exceeds other Fairmonts. It is an exceptional, large, full service luxurious hotel that managaes to be as warm and friendly as a family run inn nestled in the mountains. This is down to the exceptional staff. The hotel hires a lot of international young people, and they are all top notch as are the permanent staff. Don’t stop the included Whistler experience guides! Never! They are outstanding experiences that add value for money and that catapults Fairmont over Four Seasons which is lovely but far less value for your dollar. It’s the small detail here, experience guides, daily yoga, Alta the dog, free water in the room that make the difference!
A tremendous stay and a great hotel.

Whistler is an all round great place to visit and stay all year round. And this hotel made it even better. Staying in a great two level suite, with access to great golf lounge facilities. The hotel also arranges great outside activities and transportation for all guests making your stay easy and accessible. The service was pretty good as well. A few hiccups with the room but nothing big enough to bring down the greatness of our stay. 5/5.
Motel 6 Whistler
Jul 02, 2022
My stay was a Motel 6 Whistler experience.
With common delays at the airport, I arrived after 7:00 PM on June 19 Sunday at Chateau Whistler. I checked in and got room #318. I found a broken and scratched bathtub and called the front desk. A person whose name sounded like "Christine" answered, and she dodged my request for a new room. She kept mentioning she would send somebody to check on the room. I took a picture of the damaged bathtub and headed down to the lobby, and the person who looked like Christine stood there, giving a despising look upon me, and headed inside, shutting the door of the office shut. I was able to talk to a guy claiming to be an assistant manager and asked for a new room. I complained to the assistant manager that Christine should have apologized to me in person, and the service quality and room assignment policy (i.e., assigning a not well-maintained room for late arrival) is not up to the standard. The assistant manager added CAD 100 credit and asked me to forget about this bad experience.
Christine and the assistant manager are both Motel 6-level personnel unfitting to serve Fairmont. I have not received any apology or action from Christine to this date. The assistant manager tried his best to cover up by bribing me and somehow prevented me from getting the customer satisfaction survey. I asked to talk to Christine, but the assistant manager brushed me off and gave an empty promise saying he would have a conversation with Christine. He should be reprimanded as well.
The insults continue to the last day of our stay:
It was after 9:00 AM when I headed to the breakfast restaurant, but the Omelette station was not ready. Lots of window-side tables with beautiful views were available but I was assigned to a small table next to the traffic area. I was in hurry so did not bother to ask for a new table.
housekeeping was a mess as well. One day I came back to the hotel to pick up personnel belongings around 3:00 PM but housekeeping was not complete. I waited outside for 45 minutes or more.
I will not use Fairmont Chateau Whistler again on my business or personal trip.
If anyone is going to respond to my review, please respond with your contact information. Please do not insult me with your unprofessional responses with no contact information.
My 2nd time and still amazing!

Location - in the Upper Village. It's about a 14 min to the main Village. A few minutes' walk to start the trail to the Lost Lake.
Room - I had a newly renovated room which was tastefully decorated. The shower had hydrotherapy oils that could be added. Found the shower pressure kind of weak though. You can open up to a tiny balcony for one to take in the view and fresh air.
Gold Lounge - Being a Fairmont Gold member, I had access to the lounge. The food there is amazing and changes over every few hours 4x/day and the food there is different every day. Staff there are super friendly and helpful.
Amenities - My fave place is the pool area! Just a bit of a maze trying to find my way there from my room. There's a good-sized warm outdoor pool that starts inside. Then there's a cooler lap pool that I loved to use to swim laps. And then there are 4 hot tubs! 3 outdoor (1 for adults only) and 1 indoor. There's also a co-ed dry sauna. Then in the change room, there's a steam room. I'm in heaven! The gym is next door and looked sufficient.
I was there for a business conference and my only complaint was that the buffet-style meals there were just okay.
I look forward to staying there again.
