Staff at Los Cactus we top notch. Special thanks to Managers Paul and Elisabet who go above and beyond each day . Special thanks to Rosie, Tania and al le carte Manager for excellent service. Many other staff were always happy and ready to help. The beach is breathtaking and the water is just so beautiful and comfortable. Although this was a short 3 night stay, it left such a lasting impression and feeling that we want back soon.

Our trip to Varadero Los Cactus was more then what we expected. See the staff after a long period of time was just wonderful. Must emphasize the STAFF is AMAZING, PROFESSIONAL AND FRIENDLY. Just a wonderful experience. Wonderful service at the buffeT, thank you Adel and Alexis. Martino’s and at the Cuban Restaurant. A round of applause to Yanelis, Pedro and Alfredo Lobby Bar was our afternoon stop for a wonderful cappuccino. Thank you, Rosie, and Yeni, you guys were amazing. Can’t forget NELIA at the front desk. Wonderful person inside and out. Great service and Amazing whit. Lizbeth who was everywhere helping and making your stay better. Thank you. Domingo a long-time staff member and a great cook. Loved the cake and it was delicious. Rooms were clean, big, comfy and cozy. Lovely gardens and well kept. The plants were taken care of and the old trees were wonderful to look at. Food and drinks were good. They had everything needed with great flavors. You don’t go hungry or thirsty. I did see a lot of cigarette butts on the beach left from the guests. Just remember to be considerate and respectful. Question to ask yourself is..Do I do this at home? ...I doubt you do. I did see some reviews which discussed complaints about guest’s rudeness and drunkenness. I am not sure how the resort or resort staff should be blamed when it is guest behavior that was the issue. We travel to experience different cultures, so please remember that you are not in your country anymore and it will be different then what you picture in your head. If you want the same food, views or certain comforts then stay home and don’t travel anywhere. We lacked nothing and looking forward to going back. Having said all this CANADA, Cuba misses you, Los Cactus misses you. Hope to see other Canadians there when we go next time.
