Doesn't worth it to fly that far from Moscow.

I'm staying here for 7 days and still have some more to pass. The room is great but yesterday evening I saw cockroach which jumped from my bed to the floor...and I don't bring any food to my room FYI Today at lunch I faced weird service. At the entrance the lady asked how many people will eat, as I'm alone, she offered to me the table outside, led me there and left. I put sunglasses on the table and went to take food. When I came back - no cutlery, no napkin, not even chair were arranged. I went to take ice cream and when I came back my food were eating birds... Amazing feeling. And still no drinks offered, just nothing. And then I noticed peace of plastic on the plate of rise which I took.... WiFi here is very poor, all the time disconnected. While I was texting I reconnected 5 times. Cleaning is ok, but you need to ask if smth finished. Because during one week I'm here I received only 2 times shower gel and shampoo. This morning I put some notes that I need soap as well cause it's finished... The service is very slow especially at dinner time. The barwaiters are chatting to each other, checking messages on their mobile phone...I'm always waiting for smb to get even water. They don't pay attention if you mention "no ice", no focus at all. The food in general no tasty (especially meat), poor variety but it's Cuba. At the beach bar at lunch is long line to get French fries. Yesterday I was waiting 30 min. The lady who cooks pancake on the breakfast looks exhausted, on her face you can realize that she doesn't like her job at all. The animation team is great. Best cocktails as well as service are on the first floor at the bar. Yes, the Atlantic Ocean is beautiful. But nothing much to make a wow effect.
Sun, Smiles & Merengue – Our Perfect Cuban Getaway

We recently returned from a dream vacation at Blau Varadero (April 26 – May 2, 2025), and honestly, we’re already talking about when we can go back. We were a family of 4 adults with 2 rooms, and everything from start to finish was smooth and relaxing. Check-in was quick, and they helped us with our à-la-carte restaurant reservations shortly after—in a patient, friendly, and efficient manner. The rooms were beautiful—spacious, clean, and with private balconies. Bathrooms were spotless too, with fresh towels always available. We also appreciated the constant supply of clean beach towels, which made heading out to the beach super convenient. Everywhere we went—the lobbies, public washrooms, restaurants, pool area, garden, beach—it was all incredibly clean and well maintained. What really made the trip special was the staff. Everyone we interacted with was friendly, helpful, and professional. It truly felt like a well-oiled machine, with the front-line team backed by an awesome crew behind the scenes. We won’t mention names just because everyone was great, and we wouldn’t want to leave anyone out. You could tell the entire team takes pride in what they do and makes the most out of what’s available in Cuba—they really go above and beyond to deliver a great experience. The entertainment was awesome! There’s a talented string quartet playing in the International Restaurant and a lively Cuban band that brings energy to the pool area every day around 1 p.m. In the evenings, we loved spending time at the Piano Bar, where a pianist and singer performed famous tunes with a smooth touch of jazz—such a relaxing and elegant vibe. Cuban night was also a standout—with live music and dancers right by the lobby bar. The hotel itself has gorgeous architecture. And the beach? Absolutely our favorite part. Clean, wide, and beautiful. Pure paradise. Huge thanks to everyone at Blau Varadero for making our stay unforgettable. We’ll be back!
