I’ve been in Melia internacional for a week, and every day I go to the Sky Bar for a cup of coffee since it is the best I’ve ever had. Melissa helped us several times and she is really nice. I enjoyed the bar a lot! I like the room service, the bars, and the beach here. All the staffs are friendly!

DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL. IT IS A WASTE OF MONEY. This hotel is far from deserving even 3 of its 5 stars. It is one more of those, who believe that by having a beautiful beach right in front of, they don’t need to care for all the rest. Despite the overall friendliness of the Cuban people, the staff is overwhelmingly unprepared and unprofessional. - I booked an Ocean View The Level Suite, with the hopes I’d get premier service. Approx. USD 370/day. I didn’t get even the basic satisfactorily. The Level grants you access to some exclusive areas and restaurants, but nothing much. Not even the dedicated concierge does the job. I spent my entire stay with the telephone room inoperative. Couldn’t even call front desk or guest services. In the second day, I reached out to the concierge and he promised to get it fixed. He didn’t. I was therefore prevented from using the room service because of that problem. - There’s a coffee machine in the room, but no capsules. Asked the concierge to get us some, and he explained they had none, because those machines are meant to be used to heat up water only. But there’s no tea in the rooms either. He promised to have some delivered to the room. Again, he didn’t. - Facilities lack maintenance all around. The room entry door jammed on the floor halfway through. We had to force ourselves in and out every time. Closet drawers in terrible condition, jammed or tipping over every time we opened them. Bed sheets and towels old and stained. Mattress without a cover for protection and minimal hygiene. - A used glass and a dirty plate with food leftovers were left by a guest by his door at the hallway, right next to my room. THREE days later, on my way to checkout, I see the glass and plate still there, unmoved. - Woke up a couple of days with fresh bites on my legs. Looked a lot like bed bugs, although I could not find them. - Mosaic, a The Level-exclusive restaurant and one of the few (if not the only) with good food and better service, has a problem understanding they’re not supposed to serve guests with EXPIRED PRODUCT. I usually have my coffee with sweetener. For three meals in a row, they brought me a package that had expired in June 2024. At the first occasion, I already alerted them that it should be discarded. The next day, they gave me the same package again. Once again, I told them to discard it. Once again, ignored. At dinner that night, the expired package again. I asked for the manager, but he didn’t care to show up. Speechless. - Drinks at the beach bars and rooftop club are served in tiny, 200ml paper cups. Piña Coladas, Daiquiris, Mojitos, everything pre-made, with a lot of sugar and low quality spirits. - Staff is extremely inflexible. Don’t expect them making any effort, the smallest as it may be, to meet even the most reasonable and easiest of your requests. On the contrary, they treat you as if they were doing you a huge favor of having you as their guest. - NONE of the pools are heated. Water is pretty cold during those time of the year. As a result, they are empty all day. I have not stayed at any other hotel in Varadero, but based on the reviews I had read at TripAdvisor when doing my pre-booking research, they did not seem any better. All that being said, I strongly advise you opt for destinations other than Varadero. And if you come, don’t waste your money at Melia Internacional Varadero.

We had a great time ! Especially at the Space Bar with Mario and Melany ! Thank you so much ?????? The place is really clean, the staff is always around to help. Everyone is really really nice ! The beach is super clean and there are more than enough chairs for everyone! Great place!

Travelled January 8th-15th. Another couple surprised us and joined us on our trip. (The Best). The surprises didn't stop there. Upon arrival to resort we were told we were not at right check in desk and escorted to another area of the resort by the bell boy where we had been upgraded to The Level Adults Only section. From the start to the end this trip was amazing. The service, the beach, the rooms, the pool, the food(ate at all the A la Carter's-so yummy) , the drinks, the entertainment, the maids, the coffee, the bars, and everything in between was outstanding. Shout out to our special and primary concierge Dayami. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for making everything absolutely perfect. We will be returning with more family and friends. This resort is a must if travelling to Cuba. Gracias

I had a great time at the resort especially with the entertainment stuff Felix was the beast we had so much fun is a very especial place to be also the beach bar boys are the best Andiel, Yoslei they are the best ??????????????????????????????????
