The most disgusting place I've ever visited. They have blocked their review on google so i will explain about my experiences here. As a Canadian you should not go to Cuba. A better trip would be Mexico and DR. This place is not as it seems to be in the picture. Everything in the room is broken starting from the key to lock your door to the shower head being broken to the AC not working. In a period of 1 week me and my family gathered 38 different key cards because every day we had to exchange a new one because it did not lock the door. It got to the point where they just laughed as we keep coming to the front desk asking for a new key. Services was horrible and is not like 5-10 years ago. Everything is overpriced now and they are not very welcoming to guests. The food is mediocre here but still okay to eat. They need alot of maintenance done in this hotel for all the walls and doors paint is peeling off. lights flickering. Bars at the beach is never open. I love cuba but it has changed so much where i dont think i will be returning to this country.

The whole place is perfect . The hotel is prestigious. The beach is awesome heavenly . There was music at the beach. It's a beautiful place to relax and Shope and unwind. Not crowded. You never get bored because of the marina around. There was disco bar at the marina area called Salsa. The staff are friendly. Nigeria the music entertainment guy was nice accommodating and keep the music alive. I came with my daughter. Food at the main buffet can be disappointing because I feel there is not enough for everyone but they are very tasty and well done. I love the spring roll at snack bar. They all had Pina colada and mojitos. . The beach is just walking distance and you can also take a cart to take you back & forth. A perfect place for lovers and Honeymooners. the beach it's at the point of varadero. I love the apple juice the offer and beer everyday in your room. I highly recommend Melia Marina Varadero.

"I stayed with my family for one week. The beach was amazingly clean, and the golf cart service was always available for drop-offs and pick-ups. While the hotel needs significant maintenance, the service and staff made up for it. Everyone, from GM Karlous to guest relations Camila, bellboys Joy and Mark, as well as the housekeeping, restaurant, bar, pool bar, and front office staff, were friendly, helpful, and always smiling. Thank you for making it an enjoyable and memorable vacation. I will definitely come back again."

The level was amazing!! The service from the staff was amazing. Thanks to them all for a great experience!!!! The rooms were very nice and the drinks were on point. The beach is perfect place to get away from life’s worries. The food was good also. Spend the little extra and stay at the level it makes life amazing

this hotel lacks everything, from quality of the rooms, bad smelling rooms, non-working AC, very poor food choices, very limited beverages, tired and non-happy employees, lack of entertainment, etc. It is not a horrible hotel, the lobby area is beautiful, the service is average, but tipping a couple of dollars takes it to good really fast (and helping out the staff financially will make you feel good, because, trust me, they need it). The pool closes at 6 pm...it is an all inclusive that only offers two types of SNACKS NOT FOOD outside of the buffet hours. The Buffet is horrible, very limited choices, jam, chicken, cheese on and off, if you want something alcoholic while eating dinner or lunch, you'll get one serving, you have to really insist for a second round....again, it is supposed to be all inclusive! I can go forever on this. In general, it is not horrible, but it is not better than maybe a 3 star hotel, the buffet sucks.
