let me get directly to the subject. first of all we tried to book the restaurant, the bellman said no place in any of the restaurants and they will contact us in the number on file. after 6 pm since I didn't receive a call, I asked the bellman again, he said they will contact you (not excluding that he was very rude and not helpful) I decided to walk to the restaurant and ask myself.... the answer was we have place for us RIGHT AWAY. what can I say.... bar service at the pool was super slow, and prioritizing certain clients and i don't know why. and to finish we wanted to extend for 1 more night since it was a really hot day and did have a conversation at the check in that we would probably extend for one night( they said of course no problem) they said sorry we at full capacity we cant accommodate you... that's all for a bad experience thank you Fairmont Whistler

We were only here for one night but that was enough to make us want to come back. I wish we had noted the names of the staff who helped us because they were all absolutely wonderful. This is luxury for everyone. It was a bit more expensive than we would usually pay for one night but if you get the chance, you should stay here and enjoy living in luxury even for a short period. The breakfast buffet at The Wildflower was delicious and again the staff were super helpful and very attentive. This was the best night in a hotel ever and I’ve stayed in a lot of hotels.
The only place we would stay in Whistler

From our arrival where we were greeted by friendly and efficient valet and bellman teams, we knew this was going to be a great stay.
Our room was ready upon arrival (which was great as we were there before the official check-in time and had been traveling for about 12 hours including a three-hour time change). The room was great - super clean (I didn't need to pull out my large bucket of antibacterial wipes which I always travel with) and had a breathtaking view of the mountain.
So many hotels are experiencing issues with maintaining staffing levels, but the Fairmont Chateau Whistler raised service to pre-pandemic levels and higher. Everywhere we went in the hotel - every restaurant, bar, etc. the service was friendly and fast. One thing we noticed in speaking to all of the staff everyone raved about Fairmont as an organization to work for. I travel a lot for work and trust me that is not always the case. I have often been surprised when I have asked that question at other hotel chains and often get "it's a job" type comments. Everyone at this Fairmont and the three others we stayed at on this trip were very happy to be working at a Fairmont property.
Some recommendations - take advantage of all of the resort activities - the yoga class with Ebba (sp?) was fantastic and the walks and Peak to Peak excursion with Jack were super fun and informative. Jack is a superstar and passionate and knowledgeable about the area, history, and especially wildlife. He spotted some bears that I wouldn't have noticed and that made the day even more special.
Dining - we had dinner at Portobello and the barbecue was delicious, poolside food & beverage was really good, and the service was awesome. We also had Fairmont Friday appetizers and drinks at the Mallard Bar and that was really fun and relaxing. Don't miss the breakfast pastries at Portobello - hot cinnamon rolls right out of the oven, donuts that I am still dreaming about and breakfast bowls that I wish I could make at home.
We can't wait to return.
Gold floor was golden!

Stayed for our anniversary and was not disappointed! We were on the gold floor and room and amenities were great but it was the staff that made the stay amazing. Special thanks to Monica and Ian. The gold lounge has a great breakfast included, loved the bennies!
Lovely hotel in an iconic location

Stayed at this lovely resort for a conference, and very much appreciated the facilities, service, and attention to detail. Every enquiry was given complete, prompt and polite attention. The staff was extremely hard working, and despite the hotel being full, we never had to wait for anything. The shuttles to the village were wonderful, and the drivers friendly. Note that the $20 a night "recreation fee" which includes the right to use the shuttles, shown on the website is compulsory (we had planned to purchase in any event). We had a deluxe mountain view room, which was lovely and spacious, with a couch. The bathroom was modern, with a huge shower. Beds were comfortable, with lots of pillows. We had the opportunity for a pool day, and service was amazing. We did not have a bad meal at any of the restaurants. Everything is extremely pricey ($27 for a cocktail!), but such is the case with Whistler. Lobby has a lovely scent which is perfect for the location. Would absolutely stay again.
