Average!

nmeek2 (Castle Rock, Colorado) on Apr 27, 2024

Just an average stay. Only one restaurant open for dining and the staff there (especially at breakfast) were not friendly. The front staff at check-in (Rai) was very nice and welcoming. They are in the process of updating and I’m sure this place will be wonderful once they are complete .

Okay but expensive not worth it hotel

Supal N on Apr 25, 2024

Wait time for literally anything is 1 hour… otherwise WiFi was okay. Beds comfortable. But it is NOT worth the money at all, I paid 6 grand for a shareable beach, and an okay non inclusive hotel. 1.5 grand per person. But otherwise, activities good, beach good, their restaurant is expensive!

Tropical Paradise in Aruba

Missymum77 (Guildford, United Kingdom) on Apr 22, 2024

The 2 flights & 12 hours of travel from the UK were all worth it once we arrived at the Hilton. The first thing I like to do is unpack the suitcases when we get to the room but unfortunately (even though we had booked) the hotel did not have the same room for us for the 4 night stay, we were upgraded to a bigger room for the 1st night. We did get compensated with vouchers for breakfast which made up for the inconvenience. I loved the flow of the hotel, the staff were really friendly & the outside is truly tropical. One of my pet hates on holiday is having to get up early to bag a sunbed so I loved the fact you can book a bed at 12:30pm the day before. I liked the breakfast, my only feedback would be that they needed more flavours of yogurt. We have 2 teenage boys who don’t like to share a bed so they put an extra blow up bed in our room. The hotel is in a great position for the local bars & restaurants. Coming from a very fast paced environment in the Uk, it took a while to get used to the slower pace of island life. ??? Luckily, even though we were close to it, we did not hear any construction noise. I would love to stay here again.

Options! Just pick what kind of vacation you want.

bookl8dy (Columbus, Ohio) on Apr 17, 2024

Every member of the staff we encountered was friendly and helpful. It was nice seeing Lourdes or Liliana, always cheerful, at breakfast every morning. Every question I asked at the desk was answered. The resort activities were varied, both by interests and age groups. My favorite were the mini spa treatments at eforea Spa. The beach and palapas were perfect, and there was plenty of room. The Laguna restaurant was a good option for dinner, with live music and no crowds. If you like a rowdy atmosphere, just cross the street, there are several bars and dining options. The only downside to this Hilton Resort was the construction. There was a lot going on, but I was made aware there was construction when I booked, which I appreciate.

Just Okay…

Rachel J on Apr 09, 2024

Let’s start with saying how beautiful Aruba is and how everyone is so warm and welcoming! This goes for most of the staff at the Hilton, as well. If I had to base my experience off staff interactions alone, I’d give the resort 4 stars but since it’s based on the entirety of my stay, it earns a 2.5. The location can’t be beat if you like to be within walking distance to restaurants and nightlife. It was nice having a variety of options so you don’t feel obligated to eat at the resort each night. I, however, felt slightly overwhelmed and overstimulated with the loud music, party busses and constant traffic that bypassed the resort on the daily. The grounds were well kept, bathrooms well maintained and the pools were clean but everything still felt a little outdated. There weren’t any slides, games or beach activities that didn’t cost extra for the kids (ages 10 and 11), so our boys got bored easily and ended up back in the room to watch TV. Speaking of our room, we had a partial ocean view in the Aruba Tower that sat above the bar. Every night they blasted music until 11 PM and even with the doors shut, it was still impossible to fall asleep! Once we did, we were awakened by our drunk, twenty-something neighbors who would arrive back to their room between 1 AM and 2 AM, proceed to scream at each other, cussing like sailors and since the walls are paper thin, our kids heard things they shouldn’t have heard. Accusations of infidelity, severe name calling, threats (to the point I almost called the front desk), doors slamming and let’s not forget the vomiting noises that could be heard through the walls…the list goes on. This happened for 2 nights before we checked out and spent our last night at a different hotel. It’s such a shame because this resort has so much potential.
