More of a 3.5, but the staff, location and Snoopy experience are the main selling points

Like others have posted, this hotel could use some updating, a fresh coat of paint or a wall scrubbing. But the selling points are the helpful staff, convenient location and the snoopy tuck-in experience for the kids. The best value, assuming you are staying for the purposes of visiting Knotts Berry Farm, is the package that includes admission tickets. So worth it.

Have a love/hate relationship with this hotel. Staff is super nice and helpful, but rooms are a little tired, uncomfortable pillows, and walls are PAPER THIN! Your neighbors WILL hear your conversation or ANYTHING ELSE YOU MIGHT BE DOING. On the plus side only steps away from the park and also close to Disneyland.

Visited this hotel as it is close to where our daughter is living in Long Beach while she is studying at CAL state university. On arrival you are greeted by a beautiful display of flowers all around the entrance and reception area. The staff on reception are very polite and helpful checking us in and explaining a bit about the hotel. The rooms are a little bit dated by today’s modern standards and expectations, however they were very clean. The coffee machine was next to useless and a kettle would of been a nice touch as not everyone drinks coffee and my wife likes Tea in the morning. Had breakfast in the Hotel restaurant Amber Waves one morning and chose the buffet, plenty of choice however most of the hot selection was not very hot, so did not return. All in all a very pleasant stay in the hotel, all staff we encountered were very polite and professional it just needs general modernisation. We would definitely consider returning to this hotel if we were visiting the area again.

I do not know where to begin! 1. great hotel if you like staying in a college sleep dorm!!! i have no idea why they even have walls & doors, you can hear EVERYTHING in EVERY ROOM on every floor around you! i have been running our sink water ALL NIGHT long just to create some kind of background noise! the park doesn’t open until 10am & people are stomping around at 5:30am...every single morning!! 2. NO SMOKING: must be a new rule this week, our room has definitely been smoked in FOR YEARS!! dingy, smoky & musty!! cleaning supplies & air fresheners are just a couple suggestions! 3. AC or lack there of: fyi it was a high of 67* yesterday, can’t imagine when it’s actually hot out! we have been “running” the air since we got here, at the lowest temp of 60*, if we’re lucky it’s a “cool” 75-80 in our room! the low & high speed buttons don’t work either to create a nice background sound! 4. NO FRIDGE or MICROWAVE: i drive across the country a couple times a year & stay at all levels of hotels...i honestly cannot tell you the last time i did not have at least a mini fridge in the room! but you can pay $4 for the warm water on the counter! thanks! and this is why people are slamming doors & constantly filling their ice buckets all night long! 5. curtains: blackout curtains don’t really work when they only go half way down the wall! full sun & daylight in the room by 6:15-6:30a! 6. room service: we ordered dinner at 5p & were told to put our leftover tray under our sink until they cleaned the next day...um no, i’ll set it out in the hall when we’re done by 6! who leaves their dinner leftovers out all night & then sleeps near them! however, the smell actually probably would have been better!! ...i could go on & on, but i’m sure you get my point! the hotel is VERY CONVENIENT so people will continue to stay! if you’d like to keep your sanity, check your other options! ...i don’t expect anything but one of the managers lame auto-reply responses to this, but i feel better that you have been warned!! :)
