My boyfriend and I went for a weekend getaway for my birthday. The hotel is big and beautiful, however cleanliness is an issue. Upon arriving to our room, we started to noticed all the tiny roaches. At first we thought maybe it was just in the rooms , but we went to the restaurant and again roaches and the roomies were not properly cleaned. Security is also an issue , there are no cameras on the property and there are many isolated areas of the hotels. We paid a lot of money to stay at this hotel and was very disappointed. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY.

We had amazing time here. The staff were all amazing. There was always someone smiling at you or greeting you. The food was awesome and we loved the entertainment team! Special shoutout to the Sparkles! She was hands down our favourite entertainer and always pulled us in for a game. We also loved the other entertainers Chocolate, Romaine Lettuce, Angel and String Bean. The new guy Pea head was also very nice! Over all, great experience and we are definitely coming back!!

another couple this time. I have no idea of what is going on at this place, but I was told by management to leave a review here because the higher ups will not do anything. Before I go into all of the problems, I will say that we do love the snorkeling just off the beach and the beaches are well kept. Food was good but we weren’t made aware that the main indoor dining hall which had an impressive buffet was closed for renovations. In order to do renovations, we had to use the outdoor restaurant which had 1/2 the selection and food was covered with a million flies. Problems started upon arrival. We wanted a room with double beds near our friends and we got room on the same floor but different areas. Our friends room was ready but ours wasn’t and it was after 4:00. We were instantly shuffled over to “make our reservations” but it was actually to try and up sell us and have us attend a breakfast the following morning to hear the deal, in turn we would be given massages, but we needed to bring ID and a credit card. At this point we hadn’t eaten since 6:30 in the morning and couldn’t believe we were immediately being hit with a sales pitch before we’re even in our rooms. We were told to grab some food and check back to see if our room was ready. The only food place that was open was the beach grill so we went there, absolute joke. The sign listed various items but there was hardly anything in the food case except some old looking fruit in a cup. There were literally a handful of potato chips and I asked for a veggie wrap listed on sign and was told no they were out. I asked for more Potato chips and was told no they were out, my husband and friend got the last two burgers. So we had to wait until 6:30 to get more food. We went back and asked if our room was ready and was told that it was. However when we went up and tried our key it wouldn’t work, but a maid opened the door and said our room still isn’t ready and now it’s after 5:00! We went over to our friends room and they couldn’t get in either so we wondered if the front desk switched our keys...our keys worked in their door but their keys didn’t work in ours. We went back down to the front desk and they fixed the problem. We went back up and FINALLY got in our room, got our suitcases out of our friends room, and went in to find one king bed instead of two beds!!! We were so wore down that we just accepted it. There was filth literally hanging down over the wood rail on the wall above the bed and we told the front desk but it was never cleaned. We had Diet Coke (light coke) the first day and was never able to get it again, told there was none. Over all the resort was dirty. My friend smokes so he used the smoking area out front of the lobby. There was a plate of old food and glasses that sat there over 15 hours. Someone puked or maybe dropped about 1/2 gallon of red stuff in the center of the sidewalk and it splashed up the sidewalk light. It was on the path behind the motel that leads down to the watersport area and was never cleaned up the entire trip. I went to the gym (which was spectacular) but I had to wait until 700 for them to open and it was beyond discussing, there were chicken wings and a lot of other food all over the ground along with trash. I don’t know if there was a party the previous night or what, but it definitely should have been cleaned up afterward. Just gross. The staff used to be sooo friendly, not anymore! A select few didn’t act like they hate their job but the majority were miserable. And to to everything off, they flagged our friends as being 3rd time visitors and followed up daily to see if everything was good (it was their first visit). We were never once asked anything and we had none of our problems resolved. This was our favorite resort but all of the details are being overlooked. It has really declined since our first and second visits

Advantages for booking: Close to many attraction All-inclusive Great food Great property Nice bathroom Excellent WIFI Stacked mini-bar(water, coke, and sprite) Nice coffee station Drawbacks Most of the staff I interacted with was unfriendly, except Kimberly from little river buffet- she was very pleasant. Restaurants are always booked out(i was told I cannot make my reservation one day in advance). After checking in there was no one to assist with bags or even to bring us to the room. (it was our first time!!!) I ordered a ham and cheese wrap and what I got was a joke. The tortilla flour was laid out flat with cheese on top followed by the ham. It was then cut into 4 pieces n overly decorated with sweet peppers, like what the hell! where is the wrap? I also ordered caramel flan(it was still frozen when I got it! Lastly, the room smelled old and tv needs to be updated along with the room decor and furniture. The patio also needs an outlet if you want to relax outside with your phone charging.

We visited Iberostar Rose Hall Beach for 8 days for my friend’s wedding. It was an incredible resort and I would not hesitate to recommend it. The staff were friendly, and we even made friends with Jevon the bartender, which made us feel so welcome. The buffet is now open and the food was great with lots of option- we especially enjoyed the fresh fruit and the curries. We also loved the jerk chicken hut on the beach. The grounds are beautiful, everyone works so hard to keep the place clean and safe. I would love to return. Know before you go: - American money is best as tips are appreciated. Bring lots of 1s, but you can trade for more at front desk - Book restaurant reservations for the week asap as they book up quickly. Restaurants include Steak House, Japanese, Italian (once each is enough). - Kayak rentals and snorkel gear are free, go in the morning when the ocean is calm. You need sailing experience for catamaran, otherwise there is a cost. - Ocean excursions and rentals are from the beach at Dressle Divers, they’re great. Excursions are about $70+ USD pp. - Snorkling is good within the swim zone as there is some reef. Swim right up to it and even around it to see lots of fish! - nightclub (Mango Walk) and Spa are located in the Suites, one resort over. Although you do not have permission to use their amenities, these are the exception and you can access them out the front doors and a short walk inside the resort gates. (It’s safe). - The gift shops are very expensive, but there is a free shuttle to Rose Hall shops, and you can get souvineers at a great deal. Have fun!
