    Stayed at the Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay. Overall, the hotel was notable for how un-memorable it was. For a $300/night room, that came as a bit of a surprise. Small check-in area and even during Covid travel crisis, I waited about 20 minutes before I could check in. Furniture in the room was old and showed usage. Ammenities in the bathroom were a bit skimpy and the bathroom itself was poorly laid out. Water pressure was awful. Next time, I'd skip and try out another property as there was nothing about this place that encouraged me to come back.

    A quick getaway

    I arrived at the Grand Hyatt and was informed that we had made my reservation for the wrong week. The gentleman checking me in was gracious to refund me the money that had been charged for missing my reservation the week before and applied it to a room for the evening. I was disappointment to not have my originally booked Bay View room (they were all sold out) but the employee gave me the closest thing to it to make up for my error. It was a beautiful view as well and the sunset was gorgeous. The breakfast was delicious and the place felt very safe with all of the measures they have in place to combat Covid. I have continually stayed at this property for our annual trip down in July for many years, and will always choose it when in Tampa after this experience.

    Nice Hotel near Tampa International Airport

    Convenient to all Tampa St. Pete destinations. Hotel is looking a bit dated and tired but non the less clean and staff is great.. I need to add sixty more characters in order to submit this Trip Advisor review..

    I flew in to Tampa ahead of my family and decided to treat myself to a Luxury Hotel. I honestly don’t know what the fuss is all about. This hotel is basic. The bed was hard. The towels were rough. There is no room service available even though their website says it’s available. The ‘late night’ bar was closed when I arrived at 11pm. I found a restaurant a few miles away. Good thing I had a rental as the ‘gift shop’ was also closed and there is no vending. Oh and I paid extra for the ‘view’.

    I wasn't planning on staying in Tampa but flew in from Chicago and realized I lost my wallet. No drivers license, credit cards, debit card etc. This was a complete disaster, I spent 5 hours on the phone between calling ORD, Airline & hotels but had no luck, this means no rental car or a card to check into a hotel etc. I was traveling with my 16 yr old kid but hotels they are not allowed to check in. I happened to call Hyatt explain my situation, I had other forms of ID and after talking to the Manager we were able to work out the situation and they truly saved our trip! We ended up staying 2 nights with them & was able to even make it to Clearwater Beach for the sunset! I am truly grateful Hyatt came through!
