Myself and julie got married here on the 24th of October, we was treated like royalty, this is a little gem of a hotel, the staff and owners are fantastic they cant do enough for you, anyone who overlooks this hotel is crazy, its only rated as a 3 star but its alot more. From the moment we arrived and was met by rosanna and Franklin we didnt stop smiling from that point, debbie and dezey in the restaurant always served with a laugh and a smile,Vincent at the bar was always asking if anybody wanted drinks and was always about to answer questions when needed,a massive thank you to donnella for arranging our wedding it was beautiful.we cant fault this amazing hotel for anything!! 10/10.

A great little hotel which still feels like it has that personal touch.

My wife and I were lucky enough to get away to Antigua on the 26th October 2020. We stayed at the Ocean Point Resort & Spa for six days, and would certainly return. When we arrived at Ocean Point there weren't many guests in the hotel, the owner met us at reception and informed us of all the changes implemented to support the requirements to meet the Covid spec's. This basically meant that food was not a buffet service and instead was all Al la carte, that in room kettles etc had been removed and instead a "drinks machine" installed in reception and that masks should be worn when in the public area's of the resort (until seated) where possible. Our room had an ocean view and overlooked the pool, it was very clean and tidy with a comfy bed. Everything worked (shower, loo, fridge etc) and even the wifi in the room. We had no complaints at all, it was a lovely room. The hotel is quite a small hotel (and is adults only) with all areas being clean and tidy.. it was generally a pleasant place to be around.. There are two beaches each with beds and shade, a terrace between the beaches again with beds and shades, and a pool with terraces and very comfy beds. The food was better than we were expecting actually, although this was not the normal buffet service I could only hope that the buffet food would be as good as we had. The variety was good (given it being all set menu) and the quality of the food excellent. My wife and I don't drink alcohol so can't comment on that, but the coffee's, juices etc were all of good quality. We were given a couple of water bottles on arrival and asked to refill those from the water machine in reception when needed (or from the bars etc). This worked well for us, meaning that plastic usage kept to a minimum and we could help ourselves when needed (usually). There wasn't any entertainment to speak of (we knew this before hand) and people generally sat to chat after meals (socially distant of course). My wife and I usually retire early and get up early and take movies etc for in our room so this was perfect for us. The location of Ocean Point is pretty close to the airport (a taxi from the airport was $25 one way). There isn't really anything to speak of within walking distance of the hotel, but that said we did walk to another beach (Jabberwock just for the walk) which is about 15-20 mins walk form the hotel, and also had a walk to the local supermarket (again about 20 mins walk) which was nice. Aside from this and a local cafe (we didn't visit) there aren't many other things to see within walking distance. We hired a car, and this opened up Antigua to us being almost centrally located (most places seemed approx 30 mins away by car). We had been before and with the help of GoogleMaps (offline) had no issues getting around. We are under the impression that public transport passes by the resort so this is an option for those wanting to get out and about on a budget. The car we hired was a Jeep Wrangler from a local company TITI Car rental, who we can wholly recommend. This was around $70 per day and $20 per day CWD (also required a temporary license at the cost of $20). This was arranged via email.. and they were happy to deliver the car to the hotel for us. The service at the hotel was generally great (aside from a few teething issues with them getting used to being Al la carte rather than buffet) and they were always happy to help. We had our wedding anniversary during our stay and enjoyed a lovely lobster dinner which again was of great quality. When we return to Antigua we'd have no issues at all in revisiting Ocean Point, this is exactly the sort of place we like and its also great value and would certainly recommend it for any couples or perhaps business travellers.

First impression of the hotel was rustic and picturesque. 2 lovely little beaches with scenic jetty in between. Staff are friendly and helpful and always with a smile on their face. Rooms are large and clean with good air conditioning. Our room had a lovely sea and pool view. I assume because of covid there is a limited choice both in the bar and with the food is limited, although the food was generally very good and plentiful. The bar guys Vincent and Nick were great and kept us supplied with drinks both by the pool and on the beach. There is some good snorkelling about 50 metres out from the entrance of the small beach when the weather is calm. It's well worth the boat trip to prickly pear island for the snorkelling too. One thing, the music in the bar and restaurant, please stop playing old 50s and 60s Italian songs, it's the Caribbean! Play calypso and reggae, much more suitable. All in all it was a lovely holiday although cut short because of Gatwick closure and would certainly go back. Good luck to all at the hotel.

I have read the previous recent reviews and would agree with much of what has been said. The hotel is a little tired but it added to it's quaintness. The food we had was pleasant and tasty, they were doing their best considering the threat from the virus. I would like to mention Vincent and Valentino who kept us supplied with cocktails. The rooms were a good size with fab sea views. The beds were uncomfortably hard. A special mention must go to Melinda who gave me two fantastic massages, a must for anyone wanting to feel relaxed, with a view of the sea and the lapping of waves! Great. Thanks to all the team. I understand that the hotel was having to close shortly after we left. Wish you all the very best.
