Our stay at Westgate Town Center Resort was truly memorable and enjoyable. The resort offered an abundance of options, making it convenient to stay onsite without needing to venture elsewhere. The availability of various amenities and activities meant there was something for everyone, whether you're a couple seeking relaxation, a family looking for fun, or friends enjoying quality time together. One standout feature was the bell golf cart rides, which added a touch of luxury and convenience, particularly when navigating the expansive property. The resort's versatility and range of offerings make it a fantastic choice for diverse groups of travelers seeking a well-rounded and fulfilling vacation experience.

Good Old Bait and Switch

Heather T on Apr 25, 2024

This is our second time at a Westgate resort. The one in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, was very nice. However, when we got to this resort, we were told that the room that we booked wasn’t really the room that we were going to get and I paid an extra almost $200 to get the room that I picked on the website. After that, when my kids got ready to lay down on the pullout couch, there was a nasty sheet with huge stains on it. I called the front desk and told them what happened and she said they would send a housekeeper to bring new linens, and no one ever came. I can almost guarantee that the rooms are never really cleaned, and I would hate to take a black light to this place and see what we find. I am still trying to get my deposit back that has not been put into my bank account. There are other nice hotels to stay at in Kissimmee/Orlando, I would not recommend this one.

Below average resort experience

574mingx (Fort Collins, Colorado) on Apr 15, 2024

I recently stayed at the Westgate Town Center Resort and Spa. I have mixed feelings about my experience. The resort's proximity to the Animal Kingdom initially attracted me, but I was disappointed to learn that the shuttle service does not go to the park. My biggest issue during my stay was the extremely poor WiFi connection in room 4048. Despite sporadic connectivity in the morning, the signal was consistently weak in both the bedroom and bathroom, making it difficult to stay connected, especially in the evenings. Additionally, the room decor, carpet, and appliances are outdated and in need of renovation. While the resort offers amenities such as miniature golf and a water park for an extra fee, the overall ambiance of the room was lacking. I think Westgate Resort Town Center Resort is suitable for family vacations with kids, particularly if you're not overly concerned about the room's ambiance.

A Very Comfortable Stay

R0793 (Medellin, Colombia) on Mar 09, 2024

We stayed for 10 days in February and the room we had was a one bedroom. The layout was nice and was equipped with pretty much everything we needed. The bedroom was large enough for us and had a hot tub, the bed was comfortable and everything was in good working order. The entry to the room has a broom closet with a stackable washer and dryer which came in very handy. The kitchen had a full size fridge, an oven, a microwave, coffee maker and toaster. There were dishes enough to serve four, and the basic items to do some cooking. The living room had a pull out sofa bed that was good for children but an adult might not find it very comfortable. The bathroom was ok although the shower pressure was not the greatest. There are many different pools and hot tubs plus the water park to use if you are taking a day to stay around the property. The hours for the water park were a little short but we still got some time to use it. They also have a gym that is pretty well equipped and has plenty of space to workout. Overall we were very comfortable in our room and the staff were all very nice. This is a timeshare but we were never pitched. There was some renovation going on, on the other side of the property but we never heard any noise or really saw any disturbances. Our unit was in great shape and was very up to date. I would never buy a timeshare, but this was a great place to stay for our vacation.

You can do better

We were not allowed to finish check in until we "met" their timeshare seller who did a really hard sell for us to "make an appointment" for a time share sales pitch. They offer you a $100 "gift card" which is definitely not worth your time. If you want to waste time on a time share sales pitch go across the street and get $200. The room had an attached entrance to another room and we had to hear those people coming and going all day and night. Its like a motel. Good parking and the grounds are clean. The pool was a bit crowded and are a ling stupid walk from ALL buildings because they are the backside of the building and there are no signs or trail to get there you just have to walk all the way around your building. The room was nice with a kitchen and nice bathroom with a separate tub and shower. However the air conditioner is very loud coming on and off all the time and its hard to sleep. Plus the walls are thin and we got to hear conversations all the way from the pool to the neighbors. And the duct work is shared so we got to smell EVERYTHING happening in next door rooms like pot smoking and stinky dinners. Great location though with lots of close Walmart and restaurants. DO NOT eat on site as the restaurants are horrible and WAY WAY overpriced
