Lovely beach and warm Carribean sea, perhaps more 3* which makes it pricey for some

The one thing that makes this review better is the comfy beds and that the rooms, every 2 days, are serviced well. Major negative is the many birds flying around the open air breakfast area. They eat anything left on plates and poop all over the place. Not very hygenic. Even saw one eating pineaple on the serving counter. I was told the resort hasn't yet found a way to stop them. We traveled end of April 30c most days with high humidity so not so comfortable for older folk like us. Various reviews complemented staff. While they are, in the main, polite and friendly some behind the bars can be abrupt. Perhaps they need help. The sun beds need sorted and like many other resorts visitors get up very early to secure their preferred position with towels. This leaves few loungers with cover from palm trees or fixed umbrellas. Resort don't seem to care. Food is ample, served hot and varied in evenings. Booze flows for those who want it. There are a few specialised restaurants to choose evening meals at but you need to book at 8am to secure these for next few days as there are not enought places. The resort does need some maintenance in terms of decor and is more 3* in my opinion. It is pricey when you add on the gov and resort tax for 2 in a room, a total of $34 per night but it is the Carribean with nice sandy beach and warm water.
Antigua is a great place for a holiday

My thoughts on the stay was good, out side of the room all was fine, everyone was very friendly and polite, the down side was the condition of our room, I took photos of the faults, electric plug hanging out of the wall, curtains were broken, bed was broken, windows taped and no plug in the basin, also the ceiling was all stained. We reported but nothing happened.
