The gastronomic tour is one of the activities run by the resort each week, but it’s so underrated! Silvia and Luis took us to seven restaurants on the property where we received VIP treatment at each: a large sampling of their best dish (or two!), a welcome and information from each chef, and a generous wine sampling to pair with the dish. You will be waddling back to your room after the 2-3 hour experience - I have never been so full and so satisfied with the incredible flavors offered. We were never rushed - Silvia and Luis were so generous with their time and care provided to us. This should be the top activity recommended by the concierge at check-in!

We had breakfast every morning at Bella California Desayuno and Iracema and Liliana, were over the top, welcoming and friendly! The service was excellent and fast, the food was fantastic and delicious. If you're in Cabo I Highly recommend this place!

    Mediocre resort

I purchased a vacation package from Costco and this was the resort we stayed at in Cabo. It seemed fine because we really weren’t going to stay at the resort other than to sleep. The inside of the resort should be rated a 2.5. A 3 is stretching it. Every time we left the resort we were hounded by vendors, even while sitting behind the ropes on the beach chairs. Just constant hounding that it was hard to have a conversation with my partner. The hotel security didn’t blink an eye. However, every single time I returned back to the resort with my partner, a person of color, we were constantly asked if we were staying in the resort and what our room number was. They did not ask the white people who were walking in front or behind us. They only asked me when I was walking with my partner. When I was alone, they never asked. We felt very singled out due to my partner’s skin color which really made coming back to the resort every day and night difficult. I would never stay here again or at any of their sister resorts or recommend anyone stay here. Definitely a racist experience.

Joana and Robesto are one of the best employees of the Villa Del Palmar. I had an issue upon check in, the reservation number messed up on my booking not once but twice. I got charged more and then didn't get my upgrade or $100 credit. When I was checking in I was told there was nothing I could do about it. After speaking with Robesto he got me too Tino who got me all fixed up. Joana

Via del PalmarBeach Resort& Spa was a bit of a disappointment. Having dined at their location near Loreto we had high expectations. There was quite a bit of paperwork at check in. Then the concierge tried to upswell the “restaurant meal plan” which for our stay was an included breakfast but nothing else. If we drank a lot of “house” liquor the $110/person might have been worth the daily price but we politely declined. Of note to anyone with a Service Animal. There is a $100 (US) charge per week for the animal and it’s not allowed inside restaurants. As it was the backside of Semana Santa and Spring Break, all of the “reservation only” restaurants were booked. It was advised that 2-3 days notice would be required. We made one reservation at Neptune one of the “top end” venues in their newest Arches location. As mentioned it was Semana Santa and we discovered that noise carried a considerable distance when a party on another floor carried on till after 3 in the morning. That was followed by a “ruckus” on our floor as a number of ver intoxicated individuals made their way to their rooms leaving quite a mess in the floor. The pools and grounds were quite nice although you would never had know an pandemic was continuing with the lack of masks by most. The hotel however was quite good about insisting masks be worn at the entrance to restaurants. The dinner at Neptune was disappointing. The venue has great views of Lands End and you are paying for that view. The food on the other hand was disappointing. When paying top dollar in a restaurant I, perhaps unfairly, expect top quality. Two other venues we tried outside of the resort were however absolutely great: Flora Farms and Tres Gallo.
