This hotel has everything you need all in one place. The rooms are nice, clean, and spacious. The hotel has several food options, market places, and gift shops that have everything you need even if you forget anything. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Very much enjoyed the ambiance, the waterfall, the activities at the hotel. Loved the holiday decor too! Would totally stay again!

Hotel was very clean and followed covid rules. Our room was large. Beds were comfortable. The hotel was so pretty! So many picture spots! The boat ride through the hotel was neat. Several shops and restaurants in the hotel so you don’t even have to leave. We did all the Christmas activities. It was a lot of fun and hope to go back next year.

Our family of three had a wonderful time at the Gaylord! We traveled from Maryland for a quick getaway an were excited to experience the Soundwaves indoor water park. The accommodations were clean and comfortable. I always love seeing the gorgeous surroundings throughout this property. Waterfalls are my favorite and they are in abundance at this Gaylord! I loved having a drink and being able to have dinner delivered to us while sitting at Cascade falls! The property was not booked to capacity, which was perfect for social distancing and more peace of mind during the pandemic. We enjoyed Soundwaves so much; it is chic, fun, and everything we needed was available in that space. The chicken tenders and fries were really good lol! We also enjoyed the outdoor hot tub and gym in the spa later that evening. The breakfast buffet was a special treat. My only criticism is that there should be breakfast meat options that are NOT pork for the more health conscious. Still the staff was so wonderful - special thanks to Akram - excellent waiter at the Cascades breakfast who took amazing care of us each morning. Sagar and Heather were also so kind and went above and beyond to cook the eggs longer for our family and delivered the made-to-order eggs to our table. We were so appreciative. Thank you for a break from being home during the pandemic and memories we will not forget!

The room we stayed in had puked on the shower curtains. Asked 3 times for a new curtain, never came. The room was also dirty in other areas. Eventually asked for a new room for the remainder of the stay(due to the dirty shower curtains). They then proceeded to charge me for 2 rooms, this took almost a month to get resolved. They also charged me for random fees like an accidental charge for something that happened at the bar, but I never went to the bar. They charge you fees on your final bill in hopes you dont notice. Overall, the service was TERRIBLE, everytime we called to get towels, etc, it would either never come or would come the next day after calling several times. The final bill should have been around $1100, they ended up charging me over $2300. Again, took almost a month to get my charges refunded and they still didnt refund all that is owed back to me. They also gave me the basic room when I reserved a special room. I would NEVER suggest anyone to stay here

I was looking for a fun weekend getaway not too far from home and stumbled upon this resort on a "list" I found online. Our children are ages 23, 18, 12, and 10, so finding places where they can all be entertained is challenging. The idea of an "upscale water park" inside a resort seemed like a good fit. I was hoping for reservations for Saturday night, but had to settle for Sunday night because Saturday was sold out at the water park. I saw that as a good sign of a fun place. The good: 1. The resort area is beautiful. Many complain of its size and signage, but we did not have any difficulty. 2. The sound of the waterfall from our interior Cascades rooms was nice for a while, but over time, it began to wear on my nerves. We could hear the evening music from our balconies. We enjoyed the music, but I can imagine families with young children would be annoyed by it at bedtime. 3. The staff and food at Jack Daniel's were awesome. The bad: 1. We reason we chose this stay was for Soundwave, but our kids were disappointed. They enjoyed it for a couple of hours, but after that they were done. Given the price, I was hoping to entertain them for more than a clue of hours. The water was cold, and the air was cold (not 80 degrees as advertised, but granted it was cold outside). The marketing department makes a big deal about how the music enhances the experience, but the music is barely audible. I couldn't make out what was playing in most areas. Perhaps the water park is more fun during the summer months when the outdoor section is open. Our kids named many other indoor water parks that they enjoyed more than this one. 2. The food was overpriced throughout the hotel, and the options were limited. I tried to make reservations weeks in advance at Old Hickory since it was Valentine's Day with no success. As it turned out they were accepting walk ins. We put our name on the list and were told that our wait would be 90 minutes. No biggie to us. However, they never called us. We ended up eating at the bar at Jack Daniel's (which was nice) and the kids ate pizza (which was fairy priced). One bottle of beer and a dive ounce glass of cheap wine was $20. 3. The worst part of our stay happened on our planned check out day, Monday (Presidents Day). The weather was terrible both in Nashville and at home. Everything was closed within driving distance of the hotel. We decided to stay another night. I expected to get the same rate as the previous night, especially given the travel conditions and the fact that the hotel was not close to sold out on that Monday. When I called guest services to extend our stay, they told me that they would be happy to extend our stay at $189 for both of our rooms. But then a minute later the agent informed me that those packages were sold out and our rate would be $239--$100 difference, not to mention resort fees that I still don't understand. I was tired and stressed, so I didn't argue. I went back to the room to take the kids to get a burger only to discover that the burger restaurant was closed on weekdays, so they had to eat pizza again.
