Not impressed. I booked the D based on reviews and was sorely disappointed. I don't know if the people that give this hotel a high rating have never stayed at another hotel or if they just totally experienced something I wasn't able to. For the life of me I can't figure out why it get such high ratings. I have stayed at numerous hotels in Vegas. Everything from timeshares, to the strip, to Fremont Street and in between. This time around I thought I'd do something different and stay directly on Fremont Street and check out the highly rated "D Hotel". From the moment we pulled in we did not experience one happy employee. Everyone seemed quite annoyed to even have a job. From the Valet to the card dealers to the waitressess ... No one could care less we were there. The only time we were spoken to was if we had forgotten to pull our masks back up after taking a drink. Now I'm not saying that the D doesn't have the amazing staff that everybody boasts about, but they were not working the three days we were visiting. No one seemed happy to be there. And of course we were warned about the loud music from Fremont Street. But you know, I thought a couple of earplugs and a couple of cocktails along with being on the 28th floor would be enough to cover any noise infiltration... WRONG. I had the worst 3 nights of non-sleep, ever. But hey, like I said, I knew the nose would be bad, I mistakenly thought I could overcome it. My bad. I will not book this hotel again. There is no attraction for me. I think I overpaid considering what I got, I found the rooms to be nothing like they were advertised, the casino stuffy and over crowded and I found the staff to be robotic and cold. I love Fremont Street itself, but I will make a different decision with the hotel next time.

    Resort fees way too much

We always stay down on Fremont when we come to Vegas. We decided to give the D a try. The hotel is pretty typical, rooms, etc. But the pool area? Small, not well maintained, completely out of line with the resort fees one has to pay! I will be going back to the Golden Nugget. This was a one and done stay, for sure.

Terrible hotel. I called the reservation number and they told me the resort fee is $17.10 but when I checked in they charged $28.10 I was lied to. The shower has a half door so water goes on the floor. There are no electric sockets, no safe, and only one soap for handwashing and shower. If you want to stay downtown, the Four Queens is a better choice because they do not charge a resort fee.

A great hotel right on Fremont street.

We first checked out The D because it was on Fremont Street and it had very reasonable rates. Our first night there was not so good. The West side of the hotel is right next to one of three stages on Fremont Street and the band played until 1:30 AM. Lesson learned. Our next booking was a corner room on the Southeast corner of the hotel and what a difference that made! The D is still one of our favorite hotels in Vegas and an evening spent on Fremont street is an experience. Enjoy
