I’ve been traveling in and out of Vegas the last 15 years for trade shows. And been loyal to some hotels that have been great. This year I brought my team to Vegas and chose Vdara. We arrange for a full business day on Sunday, payed and booked early check in and got picked up at the airport. Well that didn’t happen. We got stuck at the bar for nearly 5 1/2 hours. Regular check in was at 3 PM. We were supposed to get our room between 11am and 1pm. We got good help from one girl at the front desk, but had to upgrade to a larger room to be able to get it at 630 pm. The second room was available at 6 pm. It was a total mess. And we lost a full business day and had to cancel meetings that I was supposed to hold at our rooms. The rooms we finally got, was nice rooms, 1 was 240 degrees view and I recommend it, the second was a 2 floor loft, also highly recommend. As a member of Hyatt my screen showed late checkout at 2 pm, and we planned the business day after this. But had to leave at 11 am. No way they would let me stay. So the total of 5 day of business ended with 3 1/2. When visiting the pool area, there where nearly no beds available, towels everywhere and asked if I could pay for the larger beds, but got told after 3pm no one handles that and they said no, even if there where 8 free beds. That just wrong. I would recommend the rooms. Their good and nice. Clean and well taken care off by the staff. Friendly Valet guys and staff in general. But there is a lot of good hotels in Vegas so I’ll be back at the Wynn next time. The way they solved this was NOT satisfying at all. In my point of view, the first night should have been free, the VIP transportation should be credited since the only managed to drive us. And early check in few should been taken out. So thank you for the stay. Next time 12 rooms will be booked somewhere else.

    Don't drink the (Fiji) water!

Overall we were very happy with our experiences at Vdara. It's great to be able to get away from the smoke and casinos. The Nutella brioches at the market cafe were delicious. They lost a star from me because of their exorbitant mini-bar prices. My daughter was feeling dehydrated on arrival and grabbed a Fiji water from the counter. She assumed (perhaps naively!) that they were complimentary as there was no indication otherwise. We were surprised to discover that there was a $21.75 charge. $21.75 for a bottle of water! That's just wrong. Otherwise a great place to stay.

Front desk was awesome. Room was awesome. Hospitality was the worst I have ever experienced. Basically had to beg to get anything from them. We even made sure to tip them well but got little in return. Would still come back because of the nice location and rooms but I really hope the service from hospitality is improved. Or maybe use the robots to deliver items hospitality missed so we don’t have to beg so much.

Loved that this hotel was a bit of an escape from the Vegas crazy. It was nice that it was a non smoking non casino hotel, but was just steps form Bellagio and Cosmo. Very quite comfortable rooms. The pool was also very nice and relaxing.
