We were offered a day pass to visit Atelier and took them up on it. We toured the facility and had breakfast at the buffet and lunch at El Suspiro. I want to mention that our waiter, Miguel made us feel extra special and took care of us. We will come back and stay here because of him!

Amazing resort with lovely amenities and great food. Dined at El Suspiro everyday for lunch it was just amazing. We tried all the restaurants (Los Abrazos, Cilento, Takeshi, Mercado 19) and they were all good but had over the top amazing service and food at El Suspiro for dinner. Roman took great care of us and it was perfection. We liked the Don Fernando lobby bar the most and would grab a cocktail there after dinner and then sit out on the adjoining patio. Rodrigo and Helmer are fantastic mixologists, Ocean views were great as well as the pool. Resort even smells good with a signature fragrance. We would go back and highly recommend.

Had a fantastic time with the wifey at Atelier! We were here from LA for 5 nights and overall the property, amenities, and service was top notch! Beautiful, fun, modern and lots of great experiences! Highlights: lunch and dinner at Cliento (that view tho!), rooftop drinks every night at El Cielo (again . . . the view!!), craft cocktails by the amazing bartender Alfredo at La Calle, spicy margaritas with local Sotol liquor by the talented bartender Irvin at the La Oficina, and awesome almond milk lattes by Jahir at Cafecito (he may have made our trip - the nicest and friendliest guy and so passionate about his job - seeing him every day was a highlight!). The service, and how they genuinely try to make your experience amazing while offering sophisticated experiences, made the trip special! We had a minor issue come up and Alejandra at concierge really helped us out and took care of the situation professionally and hospitably. The only thing I would say: in general their cocktails are waaaayyy too sweet. Less so at the craft cocktails place (La oficina and La Calle), but overall at the pool bar and even the restaurants, we had to return cocktails or just unfortunately not drink many them and order something else. Some of the other guests we became friends with said the same thing. I hate wasting food/ drinks, but we couldn't drink many of them because all we tasted was the sugar. We started asking for drinks "medium sweet" or drank straight tequila ??. Other tips: cabanas by the beach and pool chairs fill up fast, so get there early (like 8:30/9am) if you want a spot for the day. The mimosas with fresh OJ/ Grapefruit at El suspiro were amazing. And all the guests are so friendly. We also took a half day snorkeling/ catamaran tour to isla mujeres that the concierge helped us with that was a highlight! Playa Norte in Isla Mujeres was stunning and the snorkeling was great too! And the tequila tasting with Sergio was fun and super informative. Other than the drinks (there's always a little something), this place was top notch! So much fun and so much variety of experiences. We loved it and hope to come back soon!

This was our first vacation since Covid lockdown so we couldn’t wait to get away. It was well worth it!!! The hotel is absolutely beautiful, very clean and the service is definitely 5 stars!!! Food is delicious so prepare to gain some weight. Special Thanks to the waiter from the seafood restaurant Louis. He knows how to make you feel like a family. Poolside bartender Isaac rocks the house with his special drinks and his great personality Highly recommend this resort from start to finish.

    Not your typical all-inclusive

Don’t expect Atelier Playa Mujeres to be like any other all-inclusive you’re picturing; it was pure luxury. Every restaurant felt like it would have cost $200+ for a meal for two (our favorites were El Suspira and Takeshi). The pool bars are exactly what you’d expect, but quality spirits (Don Julio etc). However, Bar de La Calle stuck out the most. You have not lived until you’ve sat between Alfredo and Felix and had them make the most amazing craft cocktails for you. If they opened there own bar in any US city, they’d be the most talked about spot in town. We also had great experiences with Sergio at the Tequila Tasting and Gio, one of the sommeliers who put on a show when he decanted our bottle and taught us about Mexican wine. We opted for an Inspira swim-out room and I think doing the added Inspira option was worth it for the rooftop pool alone. The view during the day up there is wild. Also great to have the ability to make reservations at all the restaurants and I imagine the reserved beach area is useful when the place is packed. And a stay of 4+ nights got us dinner at Maria Dolores included (signature spot at the hotel that is explicitly not included, but should not be missed). Swim-out room was great, but keep in mind it’s not a private pool once you swim off your patio. Inspira also included some quality bottles in the room. We didn’t make much use of the lounge because it was far from our room, but the option for all day gourmet snacks was nice to have. The Nuup Spa is also worth mentioning. Prices may seem high but are comparable to any real nice spa I’ve been to. Make sure you get there early for the hydrotherapy circuit. We started off our trip there and it set a great tone. Only thing we didn’t get a chance to do on site was check out the El Deseo theater. We stuck our heads in during a club night just to see the beautiful space, but it was a bit too clubby for our tastes. We didn’t leave the resort for 6 days and can’t wait to stay longer next time. Every staff member went out of their way to make you feel welcome. And don’t forget to tip!! We saw way too many people not bothering. You can get pesos out of the store ATM and make change at the front desk. The service is so good everywhere that you’re going to feel guilty if you don’t.
