We went on a couples vacation/business trip. The welcome was second to none. As soon as week sat down to check in we were given a tasty strawberry drink. We were led to our room. The hotel design is amazing. It has modern touches but also a cozy traditional feel about it. The way the walls open up in the room to either hide the bathroom or include it as part of the room is awesome. We had a swim out room and it was great. The pool was warm, the chairs that sit down in the water were nice and the outside beds were comfy. The indoor bed left something to be desired. It was uncomfortable and the sheets were polyester. They made a lot of noise and didn’t breath well. We almost had to call the front desk because we couldn’t figure out how to shut some of the lights off. The restaurants and room service were great. They are very good with allergies. Erik at Los Abrazos was our favorite- try a mezcalita with white mezcal and tamarind. The guy that was at the coffee shop at night was a jerk and would refuse to give me a cup for ice cream even though I have a gluten allergy. Over all it was a beautiful resort.

    Beatifull resort, Ok food.

We have been to Mexico AI's at least twelve different times. We where recommended this resort by our travel agent who had just recently returned. When we booked, we had to book two double beds, but as part of the booking requested a king bed instead, also sent an email prior to arrival informing them that we where traveling for Angie's birthday and requesting a king room. They responded they would try. At check in we where informed that we where still in a double, asked again if we could have a king they said they where booked and maybe the would call Wednesday if one became available. Never did receive the call and the resort according to the staff was only at 40 to 50% capacity. The Hotel itself is beautiful, everything is very clean and well presented. George ( I think) took us to the room and was very energetic and excited to help us explain the room and the features we instantly felt welcome. As far as the resort goes it was one of the nicest we have been to. The pool is huge with a swim up bar on both ends. The beach is nice with many Bali beds and even little sun tents to keep the sun off. The pool and the beach wait staff did go out of their way to make sure a drink was always in hand, I think I only had to walk to the bar twice over the week. So why 4 stars? At this price point there was some things that where a little disappointing. First the steak house, we tried to go our first night and we where told it was closed for a group dinner, no biggy but when we tried again the next night it was closed again for another group dinner. After being told by the concierge on Wednesday that the steak house is definitely open, we returned at 7 to find out again it was closed until nine that evening for a group dinner. So in the first four night we tried to get into their signature restaurant 3 times and where turned away every time. We did eat at the Asian which was very good, but the Italian was very bland. The quail at the Italian was very good but the rest of the meal, while being very pretty, just was not up to the standards we have found at other AI's at this price point. Heck the "room service" pizza was better than what we had at the Italian. And lastly the resort was informed of the better half's birthday, yet did nothing to acknowledge it. Every resort we have been at even the less expensive ones, have done something, maybe just flowers petals on the bed, to acknowledge our birthdays or anniversary's. I do want to send a special shout out to our bartenders, Mario, Hugo, Angel and John the Butcher. They all went over and above keeping us entertained with stories and great drinks. If you get bored take a tour of all the bars and order the top shelf margarita, they all make it slightly different but all equally delicious. In closing we did very much enjoy our stay, but with the prices they are charging we just felt we have had better food and better service from the hotel (not the wait staff they where all great) at other resorts.

We (married couple of the age 30+ without kids) stayed for 12 nights in December and had the most amazing and wonderful vacation ever! The whole resort is fabulous and so beautiful designed. The rooms are large, clean and very modern. The food at every single restaurant was nothing but delicious, the breakfast buffet leaves no wish unfulfilled, the made to order smoothies and the coffee shop are very nice addition to the stay. We had one complaint about our room, because it was directly above the gym and it was very loud in the morning when people dropped the weights in the gym on the floor. We got another room and this solved our problem, but if you get a room above the gym you should try to switch it right away and maybe for the future it would be better if they put some mats on the floor to reduce the noise. {I dokato} But you can have a beautiful resort and great food somewhere else, what makes Atelier so special it is the staff. One of the guests wrote in their review “This place is huge but walking the distances from place to place is the hardest work you will have to do” and this is absolutely true. Every member of the staff works so hard in order to make your stay the most amazing and unforgettable experience ever. Our thanks go especially to Francisco at breakfast, Alfredo at the bar (the best gin tonic drink ever!), Abel at dinner at El Trompo and Mercado 19, Luis at the pool/beach area. Last but definitely not least thanks to the best beach concierges Israel, Mauricio and Adrian, who made every day of our stay incredible fun and relaxed. They really know how to do their job and beyond. The only thing we did not really enjoy was the almost 2 hours long Inspira sales presentation and the in our opinion pushy way it had, which almost forces guests to join the Inspira vacation club. There are maybe guests who are in the mood for something like that, but we think it would be only fair to clearly describe what is it about to all guests.

My husband and I had a wonderful experience at Atelier Playa Mujeres. We came for our friends wedding, so there was a large group of almost 50 of us. The staff was amazing; welcoming, friendly and accommodating. They really made us feel spoiled! The food was amazing, we tried almost all the restaurants in the week we were there. We thoroughly enjoyed the entertainment staff, especially Edson, Eduardo, Jorge and Annie. They were so friendly and charismatic and really got you excited to participate. My personal favourite was the aqua zone/Zumba workout. We also had fun participating in the many events the resort offered; El Viaje, casino night, trivia night to name a few. The serving staff at the pool was also amazing; we had a large group and would spend the whole day by the pool. They were so efficient and kept our drinks and tummy’s full! I loved the pool and my favourite was the comfy chairs in the pool! There was always lots of towels and the staff was always smiling! The beach was great too; comfy cabanas, bar service, swings and hammocks! So fun and relaxing! The rooms were beautiful, clean and roomy. A lot of our friends enjoyed the 24 hour room service, it was a treat at the end of a long night! There were a few quirks; we were a big group as booked with a wedding, a couple people in our group had difficulty checking in as their reservations were missing, it eventually got figured out though with help from the travel agent. Also two couples in the group had to change rooms as there was leaks coming from the floor above. All in all a wonderful and very relaxing vacation and I would definitely come back!
