Oasis of family fun

The photographs don't lie: this is a gorgeous property with fantastic landscaping and several beautiful pool complexes. We really enjoyed our three-night stay here and were particularly grateful for a late check-out on our last day so that we could take advantage of the pool and nearby beach before our late flight home. The staff was friendly and very accommodating, and despite Covid, our two-bedroom villa was cleaned every day of our visit. Our villa itself was lovely, updated and very clean, but it was not breathtaking or luxurious. If you are looking for a resort with that crisp, chic, spa-like feel, the villas at Koloa Landing are not that style. Rather, they have more of an upscale condo-feel and feature large kitchens, bathrooms with terracotta floors and traditional American resort furniture. Our children were enthralled with the impressive pool complex. We had to tear them away from the waterfalls, waterslides, hot tubs and infinity pools to explore Kauai. There were plenty of poolside sun loungers; we never had to wake up early to claim a spot. There are also cabanas available for an additional fee. They do come in handy when light rains pass through the area. Poipu makes a great base on the island. It only takes about an hour to get to Princeville, and there are lots of shops, restaurants and coffee kiosks just off-property. We ordered take away from the resort's Holoholo Grill, and it was very tasty. The restaurant sits right next to the pool, and you have the convenience of dining there, at your sun lounger or back at your room/villa. Koloa Landing Resort at Poipu is a terrific option for Kauai-- especially for families. We hope to return soon.

The staff and accommodations were incredible! We arrived super late and the staff was so welcoming and friendly....we were treated like royalty! Upgraded to a 3 BR villa which was so beautiful and spacious! The grounds were impeccable with a pool that had won the Best in America award...well deserved! The pool bar and food were top notch. The hotel was in pristine condition and superbly maintained. And I can not say enough about the staff....would always go out of their way to make sure guests were well taken care of. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! Will definitely be returning and staying here again!!
Very nice resort; great pool and easy walking areas

We stayed in a 1 bdrm suite on the second floor overlooking the Tranquility Pool area. Our unit was very comfortable, with beautiful wood doors and cabinets, a large bathroom with a separate bathtub area with its own sink and a comfortable bed. The couch and chair need upgrading as they were not comfortable and even with two people we did not feel the space was adequately furnished for a sitting area. The lanai is fairly small. The only negative about the location of this room is that when people are cooking on the grills at the pool, the smoke wafts up into the unit. It was a quick 3 minute walk to the Tranquility Pool (that has a great jacuzzi) and a 5-7 minute walk to the large pool. The large pool is wonderful and would be perfect for families. The restaurant on site provides lunch and dinner with a good menu (for these Covid times). The food is good, the service is excellent. There are also at least 4 restaurants open down the street at the shopping center that is within walking distance. I think when this hotel is full it might not be fun to stay here because the units are very close together. The hotel is slightly separate from the ocean area...a 5 minute walk.
The Spa at Koloa Landing

I was at Koloa Landing for my 52nd birthday. I was waiting to get the keys to my room in the beautiful lobby and wandered into the Spa. Sandi was really friendly and helpful. The spa is gorgeous and really clean. I decided to book a 90 minute deep tissue massage for the next day. I came in and got to take a shower first. The locker room was really clean and classy. The showers have complimentary toiletries. I waited in a very relaxing room with a relaxing fountain. My massage therapist was Sophie. She is a very sweetie and friendly woman. She took plenty of time to discuss where my problem areas were. She is AMAZING at deep tissue massage. I was almost asleep by the time she finished. This spa is decorated very classy and is exceptionally clean. As a local guest I would make the drive from Wailua to come back again.
