High school field trip

Angela A (Fort Myers, Florida) on Apr 25, 2024

I brought a group of 20 high school students to Universal for 3 days 2 nights. Group sales was AWESOME! She had our rooms assigned and together, had welcome letters for each room with general info and WiFi password. Our rooms were spacious and clean. We did book one of the 2 room suites for a group of the girls and it was really nice- 2 bedrooms with 2 beds in each room and a bathroom for each room too. A common living room area for them to hang out. They said they felt very fancy. I will say it’s double beds, not queens, so it can be a little tight. The Universal shuttle was perfect, but definitely book it the day before because it fills up quick. The walk to/from Universal was about 20 minutes ~1 mile with a pedestrian overpass and pretty sidewalks through lovely landscaped Universal property. The lobby was a nice size for us to meetup before we headed out. Breakfast would have been nice, but when trying to keep cost low for the kids to afford this type of trip, it was worth forgoing that amenity. Every hotel is going to charge for parking but it’s still cheaper than the $30 a day Universal will charge you to park.

Happy Traveler

Vanessa E on Apr 17, 2024

I really enjoyed my recent visit to the Holiday Inn & Suites Across from Universal. When I arrived at the hotel I wasn't happy with the room I received initially due to noisy neighbors. That was no problem for the front desk staff, they were helpful and took care of the issue immediately. They not only changed my room but they upgraded it in the process. I can't say enough about the supervisor, Min Hee and the front desk manager, John. I truly recommend this hotel for anyone wanting a go to get-a-way in the Orlando area. It's in a great location, you can walk to Universal, it's close to outlet shopping and plenty of restaurants. They get my vote 10 out of 10! Happy Traveler....

Holiday Inns Should Pull This Franchise!

Bill H on Apr 16, 2024

The founders of Holiday Inns should be turning over in their graves if they could see and experience this place. Today, on more than one occasion there were screams of people stuck on the beat up old elevators. The hallways are dark and dingy. The room had old double beds and smelled moldy. There was a dead worm on the window sill. The bathroom resembled a backroads service station restroom. (You know the type—where you get a key on a stick). There are no outlets for cell phone chargers and the room furniture is beat up. Thank goodness I’m just here one night for a meeting.

Solo Weekend Trip

aranxajoseph (Tampa, Florida) on Apr 04, 2024

Staff was incredibly kind and helpful. I love the aesthetic of the pool and all the lounge areas. The room itself was very, very well kept and clean. Only thing I do no like is that you have to pay for parking, a deposit, and a daily resort fee. I wasn't aware of any of these extra charges until I was checking in.

Great Amazing Hotel and Staff

Steve L on Apr 02, 2024

The hotel was beautiful! The team at the front desk, especially Yomary was amazing. I has screwed up on my reservation and she handled it like a pro. I'm a road warrior and when I come across a hotel staffer that goes above and beyond the call of duty, I make it a point to tell the Workd.
