    Beautiful hotel in Nature !!

Despite covid and the hard hurricanes which affected the area, Zoetry is taking all the actions to restore and improve the place. The hotel is beautiful and sophisticated. You fell like family there, specially with the attention of Henrique, the receptionist who showed us the hotel. I loved the fauna and flora around it, specially in the morning with the sun rising in the ocean facing the room. We had an amazing breakfast in our room for my husband's birthday; also the dinner was fantastic at Canoa with candles and singing in Spanish. The best of our vacation there was the classes with Daniel, a highly educated yoga, meditation and aqua fitness coach. He is a gem in this place !! Cons: we found a baby mice one night in the room and they took so long to show up to clean up that my husband took it and put it back in nature. Two days later we found a mice dead in the bathroom and my husband put it in the trash. When we mentioned about it at check out, they said it is normal, they treated the room with borax to kill the mices this way. OK, but what about do this procedure days before offering the room to a guest ? I am a member, but not happy with the UVC rep, Luis, who never showed up or answered emails with our questions. Other than that, I wanna go back when the catamaran is working and the seaweed condition is better !!

Definitely a let down from UVC hype

We were very excited and risked traveling to stay at a Zoetry at a reduced rate. I can't imagine the added disappointment if we'd had paid normal rates. We have stayed at 2 Dreams and 3 Secrets that were SOOO much better than this place. I would have rather been at a Holiday Inn. The mouse in our 3rd story room topped off how the experience was. So much to list. Do not waste your time or cash on this low rate resort. Very disappointing that UVC list as a 5 star Lucery resort. Lousy Beach, average food, extremely outdated, drab pool....only the staff can be commended. They were very good and made place tolerable.

Amazing staff but too many cutbacks

This was my second visit to this property, my last one being this past March. There are many noticeable cutback/limitations right now that are being blamed on Covid. I don't know that all of them are truly the reason, or if they are just trying to cut costs. I have been to 5 others resorts since July, and this was by far the most limited for dining and amenities. Both the Beachside Restaurant and the Sushi Bar are completely closed and not offered at another location. No longer included- Laundry Service, 20-min Spa, catamaran, transfers. No spa amenities in the room, cream/body wash etc. The Impressions section with the exception of the rooms is totally closed. They offered Dragons one night at Conoe for the upcharge to non-impressions guests. One restaurant per night is open with a limited menu. The Lunch is what was most disappointing, with just a small pool menu, and the one restaurant that would add a few more items. Certainly too limited for a week stay. The beach has taken a beating this year with recent storms. It is not what it looked like in March. They had teams working on it daily to clear seaweed and replace sand. The service is still amazing. They were all lovely and go above and beyond. While I love the large suites and don't mind the older style, they do need some TLC with some maintenance issues- I had many, and most were things that should be kept up on. Two nights of barely any sleep due to a broken A/C unit above me is unacceptable, along with no hot water and a broken lock on my door to name a few.... Overall, this is still a unique, charming and relaxing resort. I love all the wildlife, and welcoming zen vibe. I hope that things start to look a little more "normal" soon for guests to have more variety in their experience.

Visited last week. The hotel staff was in great spirits given recent hurricanes and Covid. The buildings and grounds were in really good shape. Staff all wore mask and kept things clean. Because of Covid the hotel had about 50% of their rooms being used so there may at the most been approximately 50 guest. Our room was excellent and a lot of room! Sitting area, outdoor sitting area and plunge pool, separate bedroom and large, large bathroom, shower and soaking tub. The food was great! We have stayed at multiple AMResorts/Dreams and Secrets. The food at Zoetry, even though the restaurants are being rotated, was excellent. We had the opportunity to experience The Red Kitchen for breakfast. Eddie is awesome! Isaac served as our personal butler and was on top of everything! This location has an extensive beach front which was clean. We sailed on Saturday and snorkeled on the La Bonita. The captain and crew were helpful. General Comment on UVC: The Impressions product was sharp. We have enjoyed being UVC members since 2014, when combined with the RCI opportunity. It took a little while to figure out how to best use the programs and we are starting to get the hang of things. It is what you make of it. If you work with the program and travel more than once or twice a year, it works for us and my family.

Amazing resort right on the beach

The resort itself is amazing. If you are looking for peace and quiet, this is the spot. It is secluded and you cannot hear any noise from neighboring resorts. The marina is right on the water, just outside the resort. About a 5 minute walk. It's nice to be able to go on excursions and leave right from the resort instead of having to take a taxi to another location to get on a boat. The time that we were here the beaches were pretty torn up from the two hurricanes and tropical storm that had just hit. However, the resort was working quickly to repair any damage and rebuild the beaches. Both of the restaurants at the resort are great and have great food. We took of advantage of the calmness of the resort and the spa services, which was also top notch. A couple of the bars were closed and only one restaurant was open every night, but because of covid the resort was only at about 20-30% occupancy. We spent a lot of our time at the pool and the pool staff was beyond great at their jobs. Especially Eduardo. He went above and beyond, and always wanted to make sure we had everything we needed. He helped us find chairs, put towels on them, constantly checked on us for food and drink service, and offered to help us with anything we needed around the resort. When he would leave the pool area to tend to other work he had to do, he would let us know that he would be gone and that he would have one of his co-workers check in on us. Little details like that make a great server. When he wasn't helping guests poolside, Eduardo was cleaning ,wiping down chairs, picking up trash, or greeting other guests walking by. We travel to a lot of AMResorts. About 3-4 times a year, and Eduardo is probably one of the best servers we have experienced at these resorts. If you end up at Zoetry, make sure you sit in his section at the pool. Manny at the pool bar was also great. Always greeted us with a smile and made drinks perfectly. There are also a lot of animals on the property that walk right up to you. We saw peacocks, iguanas, and cuatis. The only bad thing about the resort was that there were a lot bugs. I'm assuming it's not a regular thing. Probably because of all the standing water around from the recent hurricanes and storms. Mainly tiny flies and mosquitoes. At the pool they flew around everywhere and would land in drinks or on you. It was so bad at our room that we couldn't even take advantage of our balcony, because even with repellent on, bugs were flying everywhere.
