My wife and I booked this trip after staying at the Zoetry, in Isla Mujeres, a couple of years ago. We had a pleasant experience there. They had just one restaurant, but the service was excellent and the menu changed daily.
Upon arrival at this Zoetry resort, we were told to sit outside until the agent could meet with us. No one, after 30 minutes, came to greet/check us in. Finally, I entered the room and introduced myself and, after many signatures, we were taken to the “library”, where we ordered our own drink, and waited another 30 minutes until someone acknowledged us and asked why we were there. Finally taken to our room.
The room was about a half mile walk from the lobby. The room was very nice. I will say the bed, linens, and pillows were very nice. Really, the highlight of our stay.
You will find that there is not much going on here. There is one Astro-turfed tennis court. No other real physical activities. There are some pool aerobics. Staff is friendly.
You will find that you have to get your own drinks or tips the attendants. I found it better to give a couple of bucks to the attendant for each drink rather than giving him $20 to take care of us for the day and never see him again.
Now, here is why I’ll never go back. The service, in the 3 restaurants, is horrific. On three different evenings my wife and I waited for our entrees and never received them. Also, my wife left a glass on our patio and a critter broke it. We cleaned up the glass, as best we could, and called the front desk to let them know about it so the maid would not cut herself. Nobody swept up the glass shards.
Finally, our coffee maker did not work, and they would not replace it.

Visited my first Zoetry this January. I have been to many Secrets resorts but thought we would try Zoetry.
I thought Paraíso De La Bonita was a beautiful peaceful resort. The atmosphere was very slow paced and peaceful. Not ever crowded and the evenings were quiet which is a huge difference from the Secrets resorts. The rooms are beautiful and very nice sized.
The employees as always are very pleasant and completely committed to customer service. From the check in with Mauricio who was so pleasant and helpful with anything you needed to the concierge Fernanda who was over the top helpful and just a gracious hostess.
The restaurants were great and the standouts were Gabriel Martin and Ulysses who took care of us all week. They always made sure our big group was set every night. The bell guys were awesome Enrique and Alexis were standouts. Now I will say if you want a relaxing quiet week go to Zoetry but I probably will stick to secrets as we like a little more action and I love the larger variety of Restaurants and activities. I also prefer the Market place buffet style restaurants rather than having to have a longer sit down meal every time. Hope this little review gives some insight to this beautiful place.
A luxurious, personalized, relaxing retreat

This was our third visit to this incredible resort, and we plan to return there soon. The location is private and the setting is breath-taking. The overall architecture, the incividual rooms, the art collection, the delicious food, the birds and peacocks all enhanced the relaxation that we felt being there. But it was the amazing staff that made this such an impressive and memorable place to vacation. We were made to feel special and cared about from the moment we were welcomed at Zoetry. The management, staff and our servers provided personalized service - from our meals to our activities - and went above and beyond to make sure that our experiences were thoroughly enjoyed. Service was impeccable. The meals were not only delicious but were beautifully prepared and plated - we took pictures of almost all of our meals! A very special birthday meal was also planned and prepared for us with extra special attention given by Maurizio. Ambiance was enhanced by the decor and the harp and guitar players. Our stay also included wellness activities such as aqua aerobics, tai chi, sound therapy led by Daniel and a spa visit - all of which we will participate in again at our next visit. We would especially like to say thank you to Luis Hernandez and his food and beverage team including Maurizio, Enrique, Felipe, Mario, Andrea, Scarlet, Carolina, Ingrid, Erika, Andica, Ephraim, Manuel, Eric, resort driver Enrique and activity coordinator Daniel Valdes. The entire Zoetry Paraiso de la Bonita is awesome, really awesome; but Reynaldo took it to a level we have never experienced. He was high energy with passion for excellent service. His true care and concern for us was beyond a guest - he treated us like family. I don’t hand out hugs very often but I gave him the biggest hug I could when we left. I will NEVER forget him and the experience we had at Zoetry.
