This hotel was a great disappointment - other than being on a beautiful beach. Lets start with pricing ... the hotel rates seem to be good at first blush. However, I booked on Agoda, and I am usually pretty sensitive to "resort fee's", and I could not find a resort fee listed on their listing for the hotel. When I checked in, I was surprised to find that it was $40 per day !! What do you get for your resort fee at this hotel - WiFi !!! Access to the pool. 2 Bottles of water only at Check-in. A few other useless items like an in-room safe ! (have you ever seen a hotel tell you that is part of their resort fee !???) What do you not get? The hotel has beautiful pictures of all the beach chairs and umbrellas on the beach. I assumed they were included as they are at almost every beach hotel I have stayed in. No - this resort fee does not include chairs on the beach. That will cost you another $50 per day per couple. What else does your resort fee not include - I found out when I checked out that it doesnt include parking !!! Despite quite a large parking area at the hotel - that will run you another $25/day !! Even at check-in, no one ever mentions this. They just bill your card left for incidentals when checking out ! Hotel is under new management. People at the front desk apologized about all the charges and fees - they blamed new management. WELL - I CAN TELL YOU THE NEW MANAGEMENT IS RUNNING A RIPOFF SCAM ON PRICING. Oh, I almost forgot about the $6 for a cup of bad coffee in the lobby . Its cheaper and better to take the 5 minute walk to Starbucks. Other Comments: Despite booking a junior suite, my room was of very inferior quality. Yes - it was large with a living room, but no view, no terrace, run down bathrooms which were clearly not renovated when they did some minor upgrading of the rooms (The room had a new bed and headboard, so it looks nice in photos like the photos online). Everything else is tired and worn. Facilities are also run down. The dining area and bar are almost always empty - even thought they told me the hotel was very full which is why they could not change my room. I guess people dont actually want to eat or drink in this place because why eat in a run down restaurant when there are better and cheaper choices outside the hotel. My advice - stay at a cheaper motel on the beach. They do offer free parking. They all have a pool, and they are all on the same beach ! You can go to outside restaurants which is what everyone at Sirata seems to also do. Its a shame when hotels shoot themselves in the head, the way this place seems to be doing with their new management.
We love it here!

My family of 4 love taking extended weekends to relax by the splash pad, pool and beach! We always go for birthdays, holidays or anniversaries
