    Loews Sapphire Falls Poor Front Desk Service

    On Universal resort property Loews Sapphire Falls hotel was unable to correctly connect my credit card to my room key for site wide purchasing via room key. Gabby checked us in and charged credit card .03 per hotel policy to start the process, but when we attempted to use room key for purchases we were informed by Dutch Trading staff (purchasing breakfast) that room key was not authorized. Employee made a phone call to obtain authorization. We again encounter same issue for another purchase. I alerted Brandon at front desk, who indicated he was logging into his computer and I could wait for another front desk staff member. I waited for a couple of minutes and then interrupted front desk staff who was speaking with bellman (neither the bellman nor the front desk staff member was assisting a customer). She indicated that she was not logged into her computer and I should speak with Brandon. By this time Brandon was assisting another hotel guest. After the other guest left, I again requested Brandon’s assistance to correctly connect credit card to my room key. Brandon once again indicated he was signing into his computer and would be unable to assist me and told me to speak to the other front desk staff member ( I do not remember her name). At this point I decided my time was more valuable than dealing with two people that were both rude and unprofessional. The cleanliness of room was poor as I found a dirty sock on floor and dead bugs indicating very little attention to detail when servicing room. Poor design with safety night light incorporated into lavatory electrical outlet that was very bright and no way to turn off or block made room too bright to sleep well.

    Great hotel and the staff are all really really helpful! May not stay again due to no fast passes for Universal unlike the Hard Rock! It’s a shame because the hotel is lovely! Thank you again for a lovely stay

    Another Fabulous Vacation at Sapphire Falls

    I have recently returned from my second vacation to Loews Sapphire Falls Resort at Universal Orlando.Location of this Resort is outstanding,very close to the entry gates to both Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios.Check in was a breeze,front desk staff very friendly and helpful.I stayed in a lagoon view room on the 5th floor,in tower 2,which has a great view of the water taxi area and of the beautiful Orlando sunrise each morning.My room was very clean and bright with good amenities and the mini fridge is always a bonus.I experienced very hot Orlando temperatures when I visited in September and the air conditioning in my room was very efficient.The pool area is large and very attractive and I never had to search for a sunbed.The public areas at the hotel are all very clean and well maintained.I made daily purchases at New Dutch Trading Co,all staff there were always friendly and I can recommend the delicious chicken noodle soup and key lime pie.The water taxi service is excellent and reliable and runs frequently throughout the day.This Resort is clearly very popular and well managed and my congratulations go to Larry B and his tremendous team of staff.I have already booked my next trip to Sapphire Falls for 2020.

    We stayed here from the 7th to the 14th of October and we were delighted with everything this place has to offer. Our room was spacious, with a view of the roller-coasters in the nearby universal studios. The hotel provides water taxis to the park which are fantastic, all of thr captains were polite and great fun, some like Brandy were the party type who played rock the boat which was very entertaining. The boat operates from really early morning til about 2am so we got to enjoy the early access to universal studios every morning. Front of house staff were more than helpful. We had a late flight on our final day and they allowed us a late check out and advised us that we could still enjoy the pool area and have use of the gym to freshen up before our flight. The pool is beautiful, it's really spacious, has a slide, a lovely hot tub area and a few ducks that are adorable. The staff entertain the kids and adults daily on the hour or so with activities and games like who can do the best cannonball splash or hula hoop contests. They also screened some kids films on a screen by the pool in the evenings that we could watch on the pool or on the loungers. It was a really enjoyable place to stay, we would love to come back

    Really nice hotel. Staff is what makes this place exceptional. We always felt welcome and like the staff would do whatever it would take to make sure we were enjoying our stay. I loved being able to text if we needed anything. Can't wait to go back!
