This is the best hotel I've ever stayed in - and I've stayed in many around the world. Staff - so helpful and friendly. Food, drink, room, views from our room - all perfect. The hotel shops were brilliant, as were the shuttle buses into town, and up to the gondola. Thanks to all the staff - you are AMAZING.

The hotel is in a beautiful location and extremely well-appointed. The rooms are very comfortable with plenty of pillows and towels. Every possible amenity has been thought of and the staff were all extremely helpful and kind. No matter what issue or concern came up - from how to get to town to ordering items to the room, the staff were very quick and polite in answering all my questions. I hosted a conference with approximately 200 attendees and I felt like I had a staff of 20 looking after my every need. I would definitely come back to the Fairmont Banff Springs for another event or personal travel.

The old hotel is showing its’ age. Been coming here for twenty years and realized tonight, not much has changed/been updated…….except for the cost of a room. An aging hotel is one thing but the cleanliness seems to be slipping (see photos). Had a few poor service interactions this trip too. A lost item that no one seemed too concerned about. Got up and left one of the bars after not getting served. That was not typical. The beautiful setting will ensure visitors keep coming but I wish our “Canadian product” presented better.

I had dreamt about staying at the Fairmont Banff for a very long time, perhaps 20+ years. I saw it when i was quite young and kept a picture of it from a magazine on my mood board. Our dream finally came true when we visited in December 2023. It was snowing (we had never been to the snow either) and so cold for us and it was a magical winter wonderland. The hotel is just exquisite. The photos are amazing but being there in person it was just phenomenal. From the moment we arrived, the staff were amazing. So friendly and positive and explaining all about the hotel. We paid an astronomical amount for a room with a view of the mountains. We got in very late and i couldn't see anything through the window but when i woke up in the morning and opened the curtains i was blown away. That's why i paid the amount i did. We were very lucky to get the room but at first we were skeptical because our room was in front the lifts but we heard very little the entire time we were there. The history is amazing, we did a tour of it. The grounds, everything was just so pretty. For us, this was the highlight of our entire trip. The best hotel we've ever stayed in. Yes its expensive, but if you can afford it, i would highly recommend it. IT was pure magic for us.

We stayed at Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel on a recent family holiday. During our stay we had a private tour organised through the hotel. Prior to our stay we liaised with the resort activities team and told them what we were interested in seeing. They then porganised an 8 hour tour which was personally designed for our family. Our tour guide Gina was amazing. She was so easy to get along with and extremely knowledgeable about Banff and the surrounding areas. The day was incredible !!! If you are travelling to Banff Springs Hotel and have a small group you are travelling with, we would recommend organising a private tour through the hotel. They can tailor the trip to your interests which will ensure you get the most out of your day. It truly was memorable and Gina made it so much fun for our family.
