Vacation crisis

So apparently Decameron is advertising that they are open/soonto be open. FALSE ADVERTS!!!!!. I laid for s vacation in full that up until.now I've not gotten to stay nor been updated, nor even been given or offered a refund. They have not one day reached out to explain what is happening. Yet still they are advertising to take your money and hold you hostage. I've made comments on their Facebook page and they have since blocked me because I speak up. I wouldn't encourage anybody to take their hard earned money and book with them no time soon. They have been severely dishonest, and frustrating and downright ruthless to paying clients. One this is for sure, they will be getting no business from me ever again, and they money they have held hostage for me that I've worked hard for, is only the beginning to the firestorm coming to them very soon.

Lovely hotel and staff make you feel very much welcome! Would love to come and stay here again! Halloween was just amazing! The food is always on great plus you have 3 bars and 2 pools so you can choose to either relax in the quiet pool area or chill and watch the entertainment from the main pool. Also the garden staff are able to chop down fresh coconuts if you desire to

We stayed in November 2020 what an amazing place. we stayed in one of the cottages and it was beautiful, we had everything thing we needed and the housekeeping staff was brilliant nothing was too much. The food was fantastic with so much choice and cooked to an excellent standard. the drinks were plentiful and the cocktails we very good especially Rock your boat it most certainly did that. The staff were friendly and bubbly and always happy to make your stay fun. The beaches were beautifully clean and well kept. Such fun but relaxing place to go and we can't wait to be back. THANK YOU ALL for such a wonderful stay. see you in November hopefully

Lots of postives about this hotel: Lovely beach & pool areas Great evening entertainment Good buffet selection and quality (for a 3*) Free tennis coaching Location great for having a wander outside the grounds or being brave and catching bus into Montego Bay or Dunns River Falls Sea lovely & warm Sunbeds plentiful in August The not so positive: Shop is VERY expensive, so take your own buckets/spades, beach balls etc. (It seems local shops aren't allowed to sell such things so the hotel(s) have a monopoly) Pina Colada etc. was served ALCOHOL FREE unless you asked for it! Beer defo not Red Stripe - it was far weaker/flatter Service is very slow - bar, clearing tables etc. No tea/coffee facilities in the room

After having read reviews was a little worried about our choice!! We arrived at the hotel to a very nice welcome - cold drink and a refreshing wipe! Check in was nice and quick and we we shown to our cottage! The cottage was very clean, nice products in the bathroom. Shower over bath was perfect with an abundance of hot water whenever we needed! The towels were changed every day. The hairdryer was one if the best I’d used away! The bed was big and very comfy. Wardrobe area had plenty of hangers, an ironing board and an iron. We had a sitting room with a big sofa and a fridge. No tea or coffee making facilities which would of been nice! Our cleaner kept our cottage spotless - thanks Winifred, you looked after us beautifully! We didn’t use the pool - except for aqua fit - as the beach was amazing. Never struggled to find a sun bed and were not harassed by sellers as some had suggested! The sea was beautiful too, perfect respite from the sun! The restaurant was perfect for breakfast - we were looked after every morning by a gorgeous waitress called Althea. She always had a big smile and was very attentive! Thanks Althea!!! Plenty of choice and beautiful fried eggs! Lunch was ok! We were looked after most evenings by Phil who always kept the table we liked and always got our drinks for us in glasses!Although plenty of choice, the food wasn’t always that hot and not replenished quick enough! Sadly as the hotel quietened the food improved drastically! I think maybe as the hotel was heading for closure due to Corona Virus they were winding down! With uncertainty surrounding jobs most of the staff still kept going with smiles even though they weren’t sure what the future was to hold for them. Praise to all for that! Sadly was not over impressed by the alacarte resteraunts. They were both a hurried experience - which we hate - and the food wasn’t that hot either. The bars were great with an amazing choice of cocktails! Loved the Red Stripe beer! Entertainment was ok - the team all worked hard, again not knowing if they’d have a job for much longer. All in all a lovely holiday in a lovely hotel in a lovely country. We hope after all the Corona Virus pandemic has ceased, this great little hotel resumes service as normal! Ye man - thanks for a great holiday!!
