Disappointing

jkmartin311 (Portland, Maine) on Apr 22, 2024

This unfortunately was not a great stay. We liked the beach and the little cafe and beach bar are great. The room experience was rough. The first night, fire alarms went off twice at 2am. No one could get back to sleep and still not sure what happened. No fire trucks showed up and no communication to guests on what happened. The next day our smoke alarm started to chirp in our suite. I called front desk and they called back and said it had stopped. It continued to chirp later that night. This typically means it’s need a new 9volt or needs replacement. The drain in master bathroom was broken and wouldn’t drain. The trash can in kitchen is tiny, size of a small bathroom waste can and no extra trash bags. Lastly, the pools are not monitored for “guests only” or keycard access. We watched two large families park, use pool and tables and leave later in the day. I don’t like blowing up places on a review but at $400 night it could have been better.

Beautiful view of Treasure Island beach!

Passenger828479 on Mar 25, 2024

We stayed a week in March 2024 in unit 305W. It had a really great view of the beach. The room was furnished nicely with a huge pull out couch that we found comfortable. You could tell this owner took pride in the unit with newer furniture. Like others have said there are inconsistencies in service. We didn't know you could get toilet paper, paper towels or towels at the front desk until a few days in. I emailed them after we left and they said there was note there in the unit with directions but there was not. The pool area was really nice and they could use more chairs but we found people left at lunch so we got chairs for a few hours then. Family liked the ping pong tables and volleyball nets. Everyone gets their own parking spot. The biggest issue was the party atmosphere at the bar and boardwalk. You pay way more for a unit with a full gulf front view but the bar under the balcony is open until 1am. They do shut it down earlier if not busy. It was spring break though and tons of college kids gathering at the boardwalk at midnight. I emailed management after and they have a plan for quiet hours and the bartenders not using the tip bell after a certain time. Maybe more security can be added at night? We had a great time but not sure I would get a front unit again during March.

Don't bite ...

The only positive was the room views. Had to beg for toilet paper. Room never got any attention. The poolside/beachside bar is an embarrassment. The pools were not heated and ice cold...impossible for the grandkids to swim in. The only positive I have is that their parking system is good. Nice to have a stall waiting for me when I got back because I had to escape often.

Good for the Money

RussellM4081 (Mount Holly, New Jersey) on Mar 19, 2024

Stayed here with family for a week in March 2024. The hotel is on the north end of town and possibly the last one of the big hotels before John's Pass Inlet. About a half-mile walk to both John's Pass and the center of town (opposite directions). They have a very small bar at the rear of the hotel/parking garage which was always filled but we never indulged. The large pool was always filled with guests, but we stayed on the beach which is easy walking. There is also a small luncheonette type food service up front, but unfortunately we did not eat there either but always saw a good number of guests inside. The room had issues with clogged pipes but a stop down to the front desk they had it fixed while we were gone for the day. I think all the rooms are ocean view, and we could see the pool too. Most of the parking is underneath the hotel itself on the ground floor parking deck. We had a small RV which they accommodated us by allowing us to park it in the uncovered parking area to the north side. There's an ice cream/hot dog establishment right next door and a Circle K convenience store right across the street. We walked to most restaurants in town including Waffle House, Dunkin Donuts and Crabby's. The pillows were terrible, but other than that I would recommended for the price. The beach walk ends one block to the south but we walked it almost every day, and we walked the beach to John's Pass. Nice area.
