Good experience at barcelo gran faro

We are currently at the hotel and our experience so far is awesome. I'm here for my birthday vacation with my husband. They have good chefs but management should renovate the rooms because they look old.Other than that,every other thing is ok!!!Will definitely come back!!

This is the fourth time that my husband & I have stayed here over the past several years. Exceptional service from check-in to check-out, very clean property & rooms. We were delighted that Luis is still hosting the Premier level desk; it was so good to see him again. We especially had great service in the lobby bar by Yamilet & Poncho; they were so efficient & friendly & seemed to really enjoy their jobs. The only negative comment may be that the hotel is getting a little dated & tired. Although functional, it seems to need a facelift.

Solid resort with great bartenders!

Marcela and Jorge at the swim up bar are the best. We had premium access but we hung out with Marcela and Jorge all day because they were friendly and made excellent drinks. Marcela is a drink making machine. I have been a bartender (in a previous life), and Marcela is probably one of the best I’ve seen anywhere. I am a member of Occidental Vacation Club (OVC First Club) and would recommend this resort to other members. Axel in the premium bar was also awesome and took good care of us. Give these folks a raise and for other visitors…tip your servers and bartenders. The restaurants were all good, even the buffet. Good food and service overall. Love the fresh sopes at breakfast. Reservations can be made online for the ala carte restaurants, which is much better than other resorts where they make you ask for reservations in person each day. My only issue (and it’s a small one and not really very important) was that the coffee in the morning at Las Olas buffet was often hard to get. We would ask multiple people and never got coffee poured. Sometimes when we did get coffee, it was cold. Again, not a huge deal, the coffee always got to us eventually. There was an issue with the reservation made by OVC. The resort had no record of my reservation. Since I arrived on a Saturday, OVC was closed. Aidan and Jose Luis at the front desk and Luis at Premium Check-in were very apologetic and helpful. They made me feel welcome even though there was a mix up with our reservation. It took a couple of days to get cleared up, but they never made me feel like I was being a problem.

I had a fabulous time!! Really relaxing!! The service was great! Ricardo the manager was really accommodating, the server Carlos at the Italian restaurant was super nice!! Yamilet at the lobby bar was so nice and super funny!! Oh and i cant forget Luis Manuel at the pool bar! Great service and great place to stay!! ?? ??????????
