It took a couple of days to get in the groove but once we did we were in heaven! Michael from the entertainment staff worked incredibly hard and made my girls feel like valuable volleyball team players even at 8yrs old and missing. We took advantage of the Hobiecat, knee boarding, activities, entertainment, watersports, lots off Frozen Banana Mudslides! Other great staff members were Prince and Orlatdo (singing waiter). The family loved the Japanese food and tried sushi for the first time. The things that could be improved. The Italian restaurant was booked up and only late reservations were available. Sound traveled quickly in the wing we stayed in due to open vents in each bathroom that led to the main walkway for everyone. I had to come up with excuses for the weird sounds for my children ears as we are early risers. When it rained there was nothing going on - board games were brought out. As we went in the rainy season - activities should have been planned for when it rained daily. We normally go on an annual Disney Cruise but wanted to try something different. The activities, entertainment and food are good bit are not close to the Disney standard. However unlimited fancy drinks, the swim up bar and unlimited watersports evens the platform. Tip: locals appreciate clothing, sneaker, etc...donations. We were able to get our braid price down with some donations.

This was our first Beaches trip... have visited Negril previously on our wedding trip. We splurged a little, our kids 7,8 yr old. We have travelled with them quite a bit in the Caribbean. I love the size of this resort. The kids could go and roam a little and I felt ok with giving them the freedom. They loved the cafe with crepes. When we booked the only option was king concierge.... ugh! Three females and a male... not good. Limited space. However we made due. Double sink and more storage would have been nice. Room location was great. Could not get AC to turn off , I was ok with that but had to put robes on girls at night for warmth. My fault not to ask front desk to fix. I will complain about not having room service... we have been at all sorts of resorts and for the money we paid to come here I expected room service. Kids don’t are toast by 6pm... room service would be nice. Only butler suites get room service... like I said previously that option was not available on booking. Another issue I had was service around the pool and beach... if you had a butler it was great, if not your on your own. Again the price we paid I expected a little better service. Washrooms on the beach and by the kids pool was disgusting!! Toilets overflowing. The wash stations coming off the beach could be fixed as well. The food was good. Did not like the reservation aspect. So we ate at buffet every night. Pools were great. Lounging areas around the pool were great. What was amazing was the staff... happy and friendly. The beach is so fantastic ... my girls love to snorkel and did find a crab and starfish. My youngest got stung by a jellyfish... I had Benadryl liquid to aid in her pain. Would I travel here again ... probably not. We did however book sandals Montego Bay for February. I think my expectations for beaches was high and it was not met. We have been to some Hyatt and Royaltons in the Caribbean and feel we were offered a little more. I feel this place needs to up the anti a little.... especially for the price we paid.

Best vacation ever! I highly recommend this resort. Ultra all inclusive, no surcharges or gratuity added. My family and I have been here a few times over the years and have been to all of the Beaches locations, they are all great but Negril is by far the best. The customer service is comparable to none, you can not find anything to complain about. The resort is super clean, staff is very friendly and accommodating to every need, property is regularly updated. All of the food we had was amazing even at the quick stops. My one child looked forward to the days activities at camp while my other kids couldn’t wait to get over to the water sports desk right after breakfast! All of the instructors were great ,and patient, with teaching them new skills! The bartenders and lifeguards got to know everyone by name and made sure everyone was having a great time. The bell man went above and beyond to make sure your room was stocked to your liking. Travel and loyalty associates available for any concerns and to greet you upon arrival. No annoying time share people trying to pressure you into buying crap.

Just returning from a 7 day family vacation with my family, along with my mom and brothers family of 5. We chose this resort because we spent last years vacation at Beaches Turks and while we liked it there, we felt the price tag didn’t justify another visit. Now that I have some perspective, I can understand the price difference. I can’t say one is better than the other bc it really depends on what your travel preferences are. Turks was certainly much more aesthetically pleasing. The resort was much more lush and new. Beaches Negril is very dated and needs some updating. HOWEVER, that said, we LOVED the smaller Beaches versus the Beaches we experienced in Turks. We were able to get closer with the staff which made the experience MUCH MORE personal than Turks. In Turks it was tough to get a table for 10 at the restaurants during prime time dinner. In Turks it was difficult to keep up with the activities or even get there on time because the resort was so large. In Turks it was much more difficult to let the kids rome free because of the size of the resort. In Negril, I was able to send the kids on their own any where bc everything was close enough to check on them. Some highlights from Negril: the staff was awesome, really great people. Big Thank You’s to Felicia from concierge, Troy, the best photographer, the entertainment staff; Michael Not Jackson, Sakaye, Prince ... the shows were fun, the beach activities were great including all the included water sports. We took the Beaches Catamaran Trip which was a lot of fun. The food was fine and lots of variety, including Vegan for my husband. Some things we wished were a little different; LOTS of sand flees and Mosquitos at night. Bring something that works for you. The security is pretty good about watching people solicit you for things but it still occurs often. Oceanfront rooms are not exactly what I’d consider Oceanfront. You can see it but there’s a lot in front of you. Again the rooms are dated so the water pressure in the shower wasn’t great. Also there are open slats in the windows that you can’t close so you can hear things outside of your room. So if your neighbors decide they want to go to breakfast or wherever at 6:30 am, you will hear them and their 3 kids making their way. Not good. Overall, I do recommend Beaches Negril for an family experience.

So in full disclosure this is our 7th year at the property, however this truly speaks to the how incredible the property and staff are. We started at this property when our daughter was 2 years old, she is now 8 and can't wait to return every year. We started with an amazing general manager, Adrian Whitehead, and enjoyed several years while he was there. There was then an interlude with another general manager, that while he was pleasant to converse with we never felt added much to the property. Last year, a new general manager, Gary Williams took over the helm of the ship. We held off on our review until this year as we wanted to see how his management would effect our home away from home. We can only say that not only has the resort maintained its amazing draw due to its staff and amenities, but has become even more enticing (if that is even possible). There is something to be said for staff members that have remained, not only with the company, but at the same resort for five plus years and there is a reason why. Conrad and Carla (our butlers) treated us and our daughter as if we were long lost family. Water sports gurus Creton, Kemar, and Garvenordale had our daughter out on the Hobie Cat piloting like Moana, seeing incredible fish fish on the glass bottom boat, and dragging myself on a Trike ride all over. Then there is Clarence. A lifeguard that my daughter sought out everyday to play with. Down the lazy river they went, down slides, and under the dunk bucket. She had a blast. He was not there the last two days we were and she was in tears. Ivan (another lifeguard) stepped in, but while he was amazing he was not Mr. Clarence as our daughter calls him. While this may seem like all roses of a trip we did have a first night downfall at dinner. It was atrocious. I mean awful. Our daughter feel asleep waiting for her food that took forever. However, when finally had enough (it takes us awhile) the manager came over and apologize and begged us to come back again. We did the next night (and 3 more nights after that) as Greg and Anthony completely turned things around. Everyone has a bad night and we understood this and they totally went out of their way to ensure it never happened again. Anthony even carried ice cream in a dish on his head to make our daughter laugh one night. From the food to our room we loved every inch. Angela Martin in housekeeping was more than on top of our requests for turndowns and clean-ups. And the photos....Keno took the most AMAZING photos of our daughter. She never smiles for me when I am taking a picture but somehow he not only got her to smile during our sunset photo shoot, but had her begging for more photos. It was the best. As always the food was great, but the servers better. Lesmore in the Mill made me smile every morning and had my mimosas on the ready. Drinks at the bars where super. And then there is the welcome and departure. Lindsley is the man. He has welcomed us for years on end and never says goodbye. He says he will see us when we return home. And we do because of the staff like him. We are booked for years 8 and 9 and can't wait to book for many more (I hope). We have (and do) travel all over the world, but Beaches Negril is truly our home away from home and I can't imagine the disappoint for my whole family if that ever changes.
