I have a client who just arrived afternoon…. Elevators are not working room is nasty and he can not get any service to include wash clothes that have not been provided. I have attempted to get this rectified and have been disconnected 3 times. Would appreciate an update. He’s on the 5th floor without working elevators and guest services is rude and not responding

This place is beautiful, clean, felt safe. Best beach in the area. The landscaped trees are mature and provide shady respite from the sun. The pools up near the swim up bar and lobby are alot of fun.

I really appreciate my stay at occidental Punta Cana.The staffing is amazing the food everything was great there. I recommend it to anyone who wants to go.

We are at occidental punt Cana right now and are 1 week into a 2 week stay. The good points: the hotel and the grounds are really well maintained and everywhere is very clean , the lobby bar is big and really nice (definitely the best bar ) the pools are nicely laid out with plenty of sunbeds, the nighttime entertainment so far has been really good and the beach is amazing , the food is quite good especially the pizzeria and the steakhouse. The not so good points: some of the staff are quite rude ,the ala Carte restaurants (apart from the steakhouse) are really slow service resulting in either drink and no food or food and no drink and sometimes neither, the best bar is the lobby bar the worst is the pool bar ( they have their regulars and always make you wait until they have been served regardless, especially at weekends) breakfast is not the best we had bacon on 1 day only ( shame as it was really good) and it seems I would need to pay extra and order room service to get it again (weird) I tried the omelette station and found that the ques are massive and the guy making the omelettes kept ignoring me and serving others so best advice is forget being polite as get your phone out and start filming , this will ensure you get served quickly ( I seen this happen today) overall great place but a few let downs

This place is the worst resort ever I do not understand how people can sit there and write a review of four out of five or a five out of four. This has been the worst place I’ve ever stood. I went by the reviews, and I decided to book this resort, it turned out to be the worst nightmare totally disgusting and horrible. The food is nasty. The staff is nasty!!! people love to smoke in the lobby as children are on the premises were children are present !! no designated smoking area!!! smoking was freely to them. People have no care in the world. Especially for our children The whole lobby for when you enter smells like a total ashtray From check-in to check out extremely horrible what they need to do is to get a new staff . New cooks. Find a designated area for smoking and really work on this resort. I will be posting videos and pictures on Google on TikTok because this place is the worst place I’ve ever stood. I have been to Punta Cana four times and I’ve never been disappointed such a beautiful country to have a resort sitting on this land..occidental you are the worse !!!! They literally have staff freely asking if you can take five minutes of your time so you could give them a five star review for a bottle of Barcelo!! please do not do not go by the reviews because my stay and my family stay was extremely horrible please book somewhere else!!!! I promise you this is the WORSE!!!
