Excellent service, beautiful resort

Overall we had a wonderful vacation! The best part was the wonderful service we received from the resort staff. We are Royal Club owners with a 2 bedroom suite. The beach was beautiful and there were always plenty of chairs and cabanas to sit. Royal Restaurant: Wendy, , Yahira, Basilla Edeleinly and Katherann always greeted us with warm smiles and excellent service! Royal Beach Bar: Willy was an excellent bartender and very warm and friendly! Always had a great time there! Room: Housekeeping always did a very nice job keeping our room clean and stocked with necessities. Grounds: The grounds were beautifully maintained and staff also very friendly and nice. Room for improvement: 1) Room advertised as having complimentary items which we have always received in past visits. I asked twice but to no avail. 2) Beds left our family with back pain every morning. This could be that the mattresses are old or that they are just very different from ours at home. Overall a very nice resort!

Check-in was extremely fast, and our room was ready before 3 PM. The room was in great shape, and the air conditioning worked exceptionally well. The pool was well-maintained; it was cleaned and sanitized every day. The beach was fantastic, completely free of seaweed. However, the service could use improvement. It seemed that employees attended to local guests faster than to those of lighter skin, despite the fact that I tipped them, unlike the locals. Be prepared for a large influx of locals who come for day and weekend trips to the hotel. The food was okay; we never had any bacon like at other resorts. The à la carte restaurants were also just average, unlike the ones I’ve experienced at other places.
