Not much choices of food, only 3 restaurants which have the same menu everyday. Drinks are not great. Accommodations horrible
An Utter Disappointment. Never to Return.

A comprehensive overhaul of the service standards of the hotel is desperately required. All staff, at all levels desperately require training/retraining in customer service skills & standards. From arrival to departure after 3 days & 2 nights, far too many of the staff were unpleasant & inflexible. We arrived early on the day of check in due to misinformation by our booking agent, which we readily acknowledged and apologized for. At 1st we were denied entry even to the property to wait in the parking lot & we were told by the security at the gate that we would have to wait outside the property for the 2+ hours till check in. After the insistence of our driver that he couldn't leave us on the side of the road, we were let in to wait in the lobby. The babies with us were hungry & we asked if they could eat until we checked in & were told no, then that we would have to pay about USD$60 then we were told the manager/supervisor who was nowhere in sight had to approve. The general dining area is grossly understaffed in relation to servers which resulted in inordinate wait times for utensils, teas or beverages for our 3 day stay. On Saturday in particular, the young lady assigned for breakfast actually mumbled & displayed annoyance when our group asked for assistance with a few items. Her deference however was obvious when it came to assisting those guests from overseas. Who knows? Perhaps it was the fact that we were both local & black that drew her ire at having to provide us with what we needed, thereby distracting her from assisting those capable of tipping her in foreign currencies. In some instances we simply helped ourselves. Added to all this, the main food area ran out of food not once or twice but THREE times during my 3 day stay; first on Saturday night when it was served on the terrace and then again on Sunday, in the morning and at lunch. There was an abundance of starches/sides and absolutely no protein. No fish, no chicken, no meat whatsoever unless you were having pasta done to order. And when I asked the persons seen coming in and out of the kitchen, no one could help. How does a hotel in Jamaica not even have ackee and saltfish in abundance for breakfast? The saddest thing is that I have stayed at this hotel in the past and I was pleased with my stay. Whatever has happened over the years has not been for its best.
