This is our seventh time here and every time we visit it’s like coming home to family. The team here is amazing. We come year after year because we love the people here so much. Here are some of the amazing people - Playmakers make your stay so much fun and their entertainment show is amazing! Roshane (Sexy Bones) Jemarie (Poohbear), Xavia (Peanut), Quan, Ashely, Orion, Desiree and Javada. The evening performances are so good ! We were SO BLESSED to get a private concert by Roshane and Jemarie. They are so crazy talented. Kendra at the bistro, even though I missed her lipstick kisses this year, it was great to hear her laugh. :) The best butler team there is Orlando & Gwayne. I can't say enough about these guys. They are the best and always take good care of us. They make it harder to say goodbye every year. The loyalty team - Jeanine, Evan, Sonya took great care of our stay and future stay. Symoy - took care of us two nights in a row and remembered our names. Oli - Kimono's chef - such great food! Vanessa - at Sundowner made our breakfast enjoyable Rayan - great customer service and took care of us at the pool Chris - bartender at the piano bar will always make you delicious drinks And so many more amazing people I am forgetting! Basically if you want a place that makes you feel at home and also spoils you this is the place. It is our second home. Thanks to David and O’Brien for such a wonderful team here and for always making us feel so welcome. We appreciate you visiting with us and always remembering us. It means so much. Each year it gets harder to leave because we miss the people so much. And especially this year we were just so grateful to see everyone again. In reading a few reviews here about COVID I thought I would share. We have been isolating since March and have not been out much at all. So this trip was a HUGE leap for us and we were a tad worried. But I never felt worried there. The team all wear masks at all times. If there are activities you don't feel comfortable participating in then you don't have to. You can socially distance yourself easily. There were some people who did not socially distance, but that is their choice. (and no different at home) It's up to you! You are asked to sanitize EVERY time you enter a dining place. You wear a mask at any of the indoor places. Dining rooms are spaced out and following guidelines. Several of the people said we felt safer there than at home. Service can be slow at restaurants, but we know this from prior years. This year it appeared to be less staff so that caused some delays. Share your feedback in the loop and they will respond. We appreciate the follow-up! The only complaint I have is that the music at the pool was VERY loud. I have a setting on my watch that notifies me if it's at a level that could hurt my hearing. And I got this alert over and over again. Not to sound old, but it was hard to even talk to my husband next to me without having to yell. Not exactly romantic or relaxing. Also the music choices were not really fitting of the crowd there. Would have loved to hear for more Bob Marley. :) Thank you Sandals Negril family. Can't wait to see you again.

We've been coming to this place for many years and love the staff and when we return they remember us and always take good care of us. Roshane is our favorite piano player. We really enjoy hearing him play by the lobby bar and he used to play at the piano bar, sing a longs, in the past... but for some reason he's not doing that anymore. That's a shame. He's so fun and has talent on the piano and with people. Jemarie, the bear, plays the saxophone and is very talented. The Jamaican people are friendly and have a fun spirit. They work hard and make a point to ask how your stay is going and have great memories. Ashley and Desiree are great dancers and make Quan and Roshane look good dancing too. ?? Sandals is lucky to have such good staff. Dean's a fun bartender. The resort is super clean and food is good. Beach and water are great, too. Well be back soon.

    Didn’t meet my expectations

My husband and I just got back from Sandals Negril. Let me start with the good- the customer service is EXCELLENT. From the front desk, the Club Sandals staff, the servers, stage performers, bartenders, hostesses... everybody was terrific. Even the nurses were wonderful. (We had to have a Covid-19 test prior to flying home in order to comply with our state’s travel regulations- the nurses kindly coordinated with a local doctor to get it done and get the results back the same day- thank you!!!). We also took a private sunset sail with Ricchardo and Big Poppa for $300- well-worth the money!! And the gardens were beautiful. But for the amount of money we spent, we left pretty disappointed. For starters, although the staff takes Covid-19 precautions very seriously, they do not enforce it with guests. At any one time there would be over a dozen different people drinking in the hot tub together without masks on. The free snorkeling was out of the question because dozens of people were partying on the boat without masks. And we had to cancel our reservation with Kimono’s (the restaurant we were most looking forward to) because they will only do group seating. Sorry, I don’t want to sit with strangers without masks on during a pandemic!!! They have a separate dining room with individual tables but wouldn’t allow us to sit there because they said they’re only for dessert. Give me a break! Fortunately the public areas are large enough for more-discerning guests to keep their distance and still enjoy the premises. The room was clean and decorated nicely, but the area rug was very worn and there was a large crack in the shower wall tiles. Now the beach- ugh what a disappointment. There were plenty of loungers and a lovely cocktail waitress bringing you drinks. But you didn’t want to hang around long because it smelled heavily of kerosene. And between Sandals employees trying to get you to sign up for spa services/tours/photo shoots and local vendors trying to sell you anything from crafts to illicit drugs, you couldn’t relax for more than 5 minutes without interruption. A polite “no thank you” and they would walk away, and beach security would move the drug dealers along. We thought we could escape the harassment for a little while in the water... No- couldn’t enjoy that either. The water smelled like rotten eggs- no exaggeration. And I felt a jellyfish so we decided to get out. We asked a lifeguard if there were many jellies in the water. He said no and that the ones they have are very small. But the next day we witnessed a man who was stung very badly and came out with a welt the size of a palm print. To make matters worse, the second day we arrived, tons of dark brown seaweed washed up on the shore and remained until the day we were leaving. The Sandals crew did everything they could to try to clean it up, but this involved several men raking it into huge piles and a bulldozer going back and forth scooping it up. I don’t see how else they could’ve cleaned it up, so I understand. But a bulldozer going back and forth all day in front of you kinda ruins the setting. It finally cleared the day we were going home, go figure! There were occasional rain showers in the afternoon, which would’ve been relaxing if you could sit on your balcony. But the balconies floors are deck boards so the water drips through them to the balcony below so you don’t have any cover. The resort management was also poor. They had maintenance workers climb up to our balcony on a ladder unannounced and woke us up 2 days in a row by sanding and scraping paint. And the first day we arrived we ordered room service and a piece of the mango cake had mold on it. We reported it to management and were offered a $150 credit. That would’ve been ok but we had to follow-up twice before it was actually applied to our account. The food was good at all of the restaurants, especially the Beach Shack and the Bayside for French cuisine at dinner. But most restaurants were under-staffed so there was a really long wait for your food. Especially at Barefoot-at-the-Beach. On the day of our departure we were the first ones there at 8am when they opened, but the food took so long that we almost missed our 9:30 shuttle to the airport. So to conclude this review, I don’t feel like this resort is worth the huge amount of money we spent to stay there. We plan visit Sandals again, but not until after Covid, and we’re going to Antigua for the next one to experience a newer resort with a better beach. Negril should drastically lower their prices so guests’ expectations are more realistic. P.S. the Club Mobay expedited customs arrival and departure service is exceptional and worth every cent!!

Really nice resort!! Our butlers Wadea and Kenrick were great and took care of our every need! There are also some great bartenders here too! Chris, always remembered what I like to drink! Keith makes great chocolate martinis!! Dorrell also made sure the drinks were flowing!! The resort itself has a beautiful long beach and three great pools! I'd recommend getting a room with swim up pool it's worth the extra money!! Food here is great lots of restaurants to choose from!

As usual we had the most amazing time at Sandals Negril. The playmakers Roshane and Jerome made our stay so special. Our last evening they performed a special concert for us. Talk about going the extra mile for their guests!!! Our stay would not have been as much fun without them. Sandals is lucky to have them to entertain the guests.
