Sandals Negril was so close to ticking all the boxes but there were some misses for me. This is my third trip to a Sandals in Jamaica, first trip to Sandals Negril. I tried very hard to love it but ended up just liking it. First the pros! Lounge at the airport was good - waited maybe 20 minutes until the shuttle was ready. Ended up in a private shuttle due to no other couples going to Negril. Ride was good but about 2 hours with traffic. To be expected. Check in was a breeze, less than five minutes and we were shown to our room. Our room was very nice, we had the lowest category, the Longshore Luxury room. Pretty basic, clean, great amenities and the only negative was no balcony or patio which we knew going in. Fridge was stocked daily and the location wasn't too bad. The beach was perfection. Plenty of loungers all throughout the day, never had an issue finding a set (of course it's slower in October). The staff was wonderful, we didn't encounter anyone that didn't say hello or was rude. Big shout out to Trev at the Perla Bar who always made me feel so welcome and cared for at the beach. Now, unfortunately the cons. The food was the number 1 disappointment. I am not picky whatsoever but I was unable to find anything on the lunch buffet to eat. Most of it just didn't look appetizing or lacked flavor. And the Bella Napoli pizza was terrible! And I love all pizza! No flavor at all, the margarita pizza was just a plain cheese pizza. Very strange. The one exception for a good lunch lunch was Perla, their burger and jerk chicken platter were great. For dinner we tried Brava which was ok and Sundowner which was our best meal at the resort. We tried Barefoot by the Sea for Breakfast and Dinner and both lacked flavor or seasoning. Just very bland. We did travel to Beaches for Soy one evening and it was excellent! Overall for food I'd give the resort a 5/10 - I just expected more from a Sandals property. My only other negative was a maintenance issue, both womens restrooms at the pool bar and lobby were out of service for an extended period of time on two days of our trip - one being out of order would be understandable but both was very inconvenient as I had to go back to my room to use the restroom which was a long walk. I mentioned it to the front desk and their suggestion was to go to the piano bar which was even further away than my room. I didn't witness anyone working in either bathroom both days. I would have liked a little more urgency to resolve the problem since Sandals customer service is usually so great. Overall we had a great trip and I would recommend Sandals Negril - you can't beat the beautiful beach and friendly staff. I would like to see an improvement in the food options - while at beaches we saw a couple of food trucks and I think those would be an amazing addition to Sandals Negril for more variety and additional lunch/snack options.

Had a wonderful time at Sandals Negril, there has been some exceptional staff whilst there which has made the stay perfect. I would like to give a special thanks to King James who works in the entertainment, he introduced himself on the first day and always would go out of his way to say hello and ask us to join for games. He would always invite us to entertainment and you can tell from witnessing his interactions with other guests he is well liked and life and soul of the resort Can we make special mention of Ann Marie at one of the restaurants, Olivia at Brava Christen who works at bayside: Thank you and we will be back!!

We had a great time here at sandals negril we love and appreciate all the amazing staff .we love the beach and the pool vibes ..shout out to king James friendliest person I’ve met on my vacation entertaining and funny.

We came for our anniversary at sandals Negril had clue what was it going to like ..The resort is an amazing the beach is very cosy and the we love the way it small and personal resort ..also I want give this amazing guy by the name king James a massive big up - he was so caring at the same time so entertaining and a genuine human being. He made our holiday extra special for us. Legend also his coworkers ashliann , Briana and david they are amazing.

Alysia at the Red Lane Spa is amazing, if you are wanting a deep tissue massage, she is the best!
