One Of The Truly Best Hotel Experiences I Have Ever Enjoyed!

I recently took my 13-year-old granddaughter to Universal Studios in Florida from our home in Washington State (5/6/2021 – 5/12/2021. She is a HUGE Harry Potter fan, and we heard that the “Wizarding World of Harry Potter” in Orlando, Florida is much better than the one in California. There is a plethora of hotels to choose from, but “The Hard Rock” is a well-known name and is closer to the Universal Studios parks than any of the others, so that was the hotel I chose…and I’m damned glad I did. I have stayed at many fine hotels in my day, but my stay at the Hard Rock Hotel in Orlando, Florida was by far and away the most satisfying and pleasurable hotel experience I have ever had. The beds and the down/feather pillows on which we slept were comparable to sleeping on billowy, soft clouds. At the end of a very long day of walking, shopping, and standing in lines for the rides, it was a blessing to say the least when we were able to lay our heads on such exceptionally comfortable beds. The hotel was clean, well maintained, well managed, and the service was absolutely the best I have ever enjoyed...top drawer customer service in every conceivable aspect all the way. The Hard Rock hotel lives up to their name with photos of rock stars and glass cases displaying clothing worn by the likes of Tom Jones, Elvis Presley, Shakira, Jennifer Lopez, and countless other celebrities. From the comfortable and well-laid out lounge in the lobby, with constant music videos playing on a large screen, to the saxophone chandelier on the 1st floor, to the fine dining restaurants and magnificent pool, this is truly a must-stay-at hotel. If you enjoy fine dining as much as I do, you will not want to miss dinner at The Palm Restaurant in the Hard Rock Hotel. We enjoyed an incredible, well-prepared, beautifully plated dinner there on the evening we arrived. The food we enjoyed was comparable to any meal at a Hell’s Kitchen Restaurant. My granddaughter stated that the steak was literally the best she has ever had, and the lobster bisque is an absolute must! Though again, while I was there with my granddaughter, it was easy to observe that the layout and ambiance would be the perfect setting for a romantic dinner with your significant other. Photos and caricatures of rock stars, movie stars and other famous celebrities tastefully adorn nearly every inch of wall space. The restaurant is dimly lit, beautifully, and tastefully decorated and the staff were amazing from start to finish. Our meal (after tip) ran about $265.00 and was worth every single penny. Another option is The Kitchen Restaurant, where you can enjoy an equally scrumptious meal either inside or in the beautifully staged outside dining area, at prices that are a bit less than meals at The Palm Restaurant. We chose to take our meals in the gated outside area, amidst the gently swaying palm trees and strategically placed lighting, which leant an old-world feel and exclusivity to the experience. As with The Palm Restaurant, the food was top-drawer, and the staff left nothing lacking whatsoever. Inasmuch as we happened to be in residence on Mother’s Day, we also took advantage of the decadent Mother’s Day Brunch, a phenomenal meal with enough food for at least six people. From the tasty frittata to the incredible Caprese Salad, roasted chicken, perfectly prepared salmon, fingerling potatoes, grilled carrots, and indescribable dessert tray, it was truly the best Mother’s Day brunch I have ever enjoyed in my life! The delightfully inviting pool area at The Hard Rock hotel was also beautiful and extremely enjoyable. As an older woman, my back, feet and legs were screaming at me each evening when we returned from a long day at Universal Studios and trying to keep up with my 13-year-old granddaughter. The beautiful, very well-maintained pool was a welcome relief, and certainly served to alleviate many of my numerous aches and pains. The temperature of the water was absolutely perfect. It was never a “shock to the system” when stepping in out of the heat of the day. The water slide was a delight, and it was a treat to watch my precious granddaughter enjoy it so much. The entire area is surrounded by graceful palm trees and boasts the Beachclub bar and grill to round out the picture-perfect setting. Lifeguards are on duty from the time the pool opens until it closes. The atmosphere and ambiance were stunning and seeing the lifeguards in place when there were so many small children in the water at any given time was wonderful. I found myself aching for a swim every evening after having spent eight to ten hours at the Universal Studios parks in weather much hotter than I am accustomed to. I cannot begin to describe the relief it brought to my tired, aching muscles. The Hard rock hotel, like most all the other area hotels, offers a free water-taxi service to and from the Universal Studios theme parks. The boats are well maintained, beautifully captained and always at the ready to take weary park visitors back to their hotel. The short ride provides views of the perfectly manicured lawns and grounds and is exceptionally enjoyable in the evenings. Another incredible perk is the package pick-up service. Who doesn’t want to bring home a ton of trinkets and souvenirs from vacation? However, you can’t really walk around with armloads of bags from your various shopping excursions, especially if you are a die-hard ride lover like myself. The Hard Rock hotel has the perfect solution. No matter what store or gift shop you purchase from, you can instruct them to have your items delivered to your hotel, leaving you free to carry on with your park experience unencumbered. Each and every one of our packages were at the concierge desk the day after we made our purchases, which freed us up to enjoy every amenity that the parks had to offer. In addition, if you want to avoid ride wait times of up to 90-minutes, The Hard Rock Hotel offers yet another incredible perk. They will provide you and every one of your traveling companions with complimentary Universal Express Unlimited passes, which allow you to move to the front of those long lines in half the time! These tickets, depending on the season, will run close to $100.00 per person, per day…so this is most definitely a perk you will not want to miss out on. All in all, if I should find myself planning another vacation to Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida, I will not so much as consider staying anywhere other than The Hard Rock Hotel. It’s a definite 5-star experience!

I believe this was our 12 time staying at Hard Rock Orlando. It is ALWAYS fantastic. The proximity to the parks and the express passes that come with the hotel are great, but what makes the trip special EVERY time is the hotels employees. They are special people who have remained hard rock employees and are there every time we visit. That must say something. We cannot thank them enough. They really are difference makers. Thanks Nan, for always making the club level so special. Always a smile, and helpful with anything you need, it wouldn't be the se without you. Thanks also to the world's greatest bartender and just a great guy Brian! Can't wait to get back there for another cocktail. You always treat us so great, we really do appreciate you. David, weather by the pool or behind a bar you always make our day. We even made some new friends this time. Shoot out to Sandra who took great care of us at Velvet as well. See all of you guys real soon! The Magdalena Family

We booked a garden view room but upon arrival they upgraded us to pool view and offered us a roll away bed for free during our stay. I see complaints about the music being loud. We had no issues with this and I have a toddler. Seemed like the music turned off by 10. Staff were incredibly friendly, I texted for extra towels, bedding, razor, questions, etc several times during our 4 day stay and they were prompt and willing to go out of their way to help. We loved staying here, I took off one star because the walls really need to be cleaned/repainted and although the sheets were clean there were visual stains on the them. We will definitely stay here again.

Express Passes and Location is the only reason....

We stayed for three nights in a King Suite. It was on the second floor. The pool was right outside of the window. Therefore the music could be heard until the pool closed. If you are going to Universal, then the Express Passes and proximity to the park should be the only reason you would book this hotel above any other Holiday Inn Express, DoubleTree, etc. The rooms are of the same caliber of rooms that Hilton offers, etc. The market had plenty of options. The staff was nice. There was a couple restaurants on site. We didn't try those as they were a bit pricey. The pool looked like fun, but crowded and noisy. For $400+ a night, the only reason we would stay again is for express passes.

Hard Rock at Universal provided an amazing experience through and through. Cherick, Nan, and Hoa were especially awesome at Rock Royalty Club. Poolside service and the music were exceptional. And of course the park was fun as always. Our experience was enhanced due to smaller crowds.
