Grossed out

charlesc1029 on May 18, 2024

Checked in at 1am and they made me pay full price for parking and 11am check out. The room looked like it was original, from the day they opened it. Disgusting for the cost. I've stayed at 2 star hotels that made me feel much more like I was appreciated then here. Way overpriced for the ancient facilities and gross bedding.

One Happy Family!

Bridgett H on May 14, 2024

Every single person that worked at the Hard Rock Hotel that we encountered, was fantastic! From the reception desk lady, at 2 in the morning, patiently answering all my questions or the people that cleaned up our room every day and placed our daughter's stuffed animals neatly on the bed or the nice young man named Alejandro that found my husband's wallet when he lost it at breakfast, took the time to track us down and returned it! My husband had cash, credit cards, his license that he would need to board the plane home etc in his wallet. Our vacation would have been dramatically different if an honest person didn't find it. Thank you Alejandro! Again, every one that helped or took care of us, gave a 100%. Our family appreciated you all and thank you for making our stay extra special.

Lack of security , zero professionalism , luggage vandalism in the room

fatimazahra_mediouni (Casablanca, Morocco) on May 11, 2024

Horrible we arrived at this hotel on Monday at 4:30 , at 5 p.m. we left the hotel and did not return until 8 p.m., leaving our suitcases closed with the security system in the room . On our return, our luggage was opened by force, the security system broken and the contents turned upside down (open toilet holes, empty storage bags, etc.). We reported the incident within half an hour to hotel security. We asked many times to speak to the manager to have a feebdack in vain . No one bothers to talk to us or explain to us. The hotel has more than a security failure, no cameras in the corridors , it also has a deplorable lack of sense of service. Our trip took a bad turn as soon as we arrived, we not only suffered material damage (damaged luggage) but moral damage, aggravated by this lack of communication and by the unavailability of managers. Be careful to your luggages if you choose this Hotel. The food is also awful, specially at the loyalty floor. Best regards

Good for a night's stay with express passes

Pepsi124 (Portsmouth, United Kingdom) on Apr 25, 2024

Stayed for one night. Hotel itself is nice enough. But rooms need to be sound proofed! We could hear everything the people in the next room were saying and their screaming child! Could also hear people chatting as walking past the room in the hallways too. Express passes are super amazing and this is why we chose this hotel for one night as we got 2 days of express passes. I do think if you are only staying the one night you are given the worse rooms! We were right over the front of the hotel. Could only see the canopy to the entrance from our window. But room was adequate for the one night.

We booked a room here for one night even though my parents have a house close by. Like many people we wanted to get the benefit of the unlimited express passes. Lobby is beautiful and staff was friendly. We checked in early and since we were going to Volcano Bay for the day they waited to assign us a room since we requested a room near the elevator and on a higher floor. When we returned and got our room it was on the 4th floor. However it was literally at the end of the hallway, as far from the elevators as you can get. But no big deal. The standard rooms are very small. The beds say queen but look like full. The room is dated. They have a new nice sink area but left the old sink in the bathroom. The pipes of the sink were crusted and old. There was some black mold on the ceiling which is unacceptable. The bathtub didn’t drain so I was standing in water trying to shower. The room was simply old and dirty. I’m not normally picky about small things but for 600 per night, I expected much more. When I called and asked for a new room due mostly to the mold I was told they were fully booked and could possibly get me a new room the next day which of course wasn’t an option. The most frustrating part was going directly to their website and seeing we could book a room so clearly they were not full. So many large groups there and us being one - nighters, it seemed we were just brushed aside. After spending money for a Cabana at Volcano Bay plus tickets and then hundreds for tickets for Universal , It was extremely frustrating to have to pack up and leave the hotel. So yes we got the passes for cheaper but we didn’t even end up staying there and went to my parent’s. Bottom line, if you wanna book a room for the cheaper passes, don’t even bother staying there. They know they have people by the wallet because of the pass deal. It’s a shame. I am very familiar with Lowes hotels being from the Philadelphia area and also near Atlantic City. Never had an issue with them until now. And the icing on the cake was we were charged for room service after our checkout time! They did remove the charge but again , why?! Next time I’ll just pay the extra for the passes and not waste my time and money. Universal should reconsider their partnership with them if this is how they treat their guest. If I was staying there not just for the passes and had to stay there a few nights I would be furious about the room conditions.
